Central heating, wifi, parking, fully fitted kitchen, all sheets and towels etc provided to make your stay more comfortable.

Situated in a quiet street on first floor of a chalet with own separate entrance and only 2 minutes from the historic centre with its cobblestone streets with bars, cafes, restaurants, outlet shops and delicatessens. Supermarkets and grocery shops just a short walk away.

Allariz is a beautiful historic village in the heart of Galicia. The village itself and the surrounding countryside with its walks along the river and through the forests of oak and chestnut make it a great relaxing destination. Nearby Ourense (22kms by car and with regular local bus service from Allariz) is famous for its hot springs. Santiago de Compostela, the end point of Saint James's Way, is an hour away by car or just 30 minutes by fast train from Ourense. The stunning scenery of the Spanish wine area Ribeira Sacra and that of the Douro valley in Portugal are both just an hours drive away. Porto is two hours. In front of the house is the International Festival Garden which is open from May to October with a seperate competition theme each year.

From the apartment it is just five minutes walk to the heart of historic Allariz with its cobble stone streets, medieval churches and monastery. Some of the historic buildings now house outlet shops of some of the best Spanish fashion names. There is a wide choice of restaurants including three of an international standard, wine bars and cafes. There are five museums in Allariz but, unfortunately no information in English. However the Toy Museum and the Fashion Museum are pretty much self explanatory and very interesting.

On the 1st and 15th of each month the square in front of the monastery has a traditional country market. There are various parks along the river, including one with indoor and outdoor swimming pools. There are tennis courts at the sport's centre and horse riding at the stables next door. The village has all the facilities you may need - supermarkets, grocery and vegetable shops, chemists, post office, ATMs and a medical centre with an English speaking doctor.

The apartment is ideal for traveling with children; there are plenty of parks and the closest, on the banks of the river, has a playground.

A nice walk along the river (5kms ) you can visit the famous painted rocks and trees done by the renowned Basque artist Ibarrola, They are part of the eco space Rexo which is also a sheep farm that makes Galicia's only sheep cheese. Visits are welcome. .

The apartment has free wifi and free parking in the street, It comes equipped with all that you need for a comfortable stay including a washing machine.
