Guestbook Comment

This is a late posting from february school vacation,2005, that i never got a chance to comment on like i wanted.I could not say enough good about our stay at the cottage. we had a great time and the kids hated to go home. the cottage was very nice ,the homeowners were wonderful to deal with and did everything possible to make sure all was the way it should be for the stay. The snowmobile trails were 100 ft away and groomed to perfection, ice fishing right outside your door, skiing not too far away as well.Snowmobiliers make note this is a great place to go,many day trips right from your door. Thank you for a great time and hope to do it again .The Silva family.

The cottage was very neat and lots of the appliances were new. I really enjoyed being right on the water. The owner was very nice and made sure we had all the things we needed. She brought in a new toaster because previous tenants had told her the toaster wasn't working right. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the inside access to the downstairs rooms consist of narrow stairs and a narrow passageway. Bringing in large luggage was difficult. However there's an outside access on the side of the building which is a lot better way to bring in luggage. After we discovered this, we used that access to bring our luggage out. I would rent this again.

Wonderful location for our kids and dog

  • 5 of 5

We had such a wonderful time at the house. I honestly can't say who loved it more, our kids or our Golden Retriever. They all loved jumping off the floating dock and swimming in the lake. In addition, the Bracketts were just such lovely and accommodating people. When we got there, I found that the pump for my paddle board had broken on the drive and they were so helpful in first lending me their pump and then when that wasn't the right fit for my board they brought 2 of their paddle boards out so we could use them during our stay. They also have a wonderful dog who follows them around who was such a sweetie and I miss playing with him already. This is the fourth rental we've tried in Maine and I expect this will be the first we come back to for a second time. Can't wait until next year to come back to Worthely Pond!

Still a great summer vacation spot!

  • 5 of 5

We had not been back to the gray camp on Worthley Pond for several years while our kids were in college. Since tuition payments ended we decided to go back to Worthley Pond. The renovations that Donna and Mike made to the gray camp were amazing! The kitchen improvements, the extra bedrooms upstairs and the additional bathroom made this camp so much more comfortable!! Mike and Donna are the best to work with and they really want their guests to be comfortable. Our kids are all grown but they all were able to come to the pond for several days out of the week. We definitely want to return this summer.

An Amazing Family vacation

  • 5 of 5

I am late in this review but as I plan to book our vacation to this beautiful home again this year I felt I had to write a review. First of all, Mike and Donna are absolutely amazing. They are so accommodating and helpful while you are there. They make you feel right at home. This was our 1st time renting from people we did not know, but they made us feel very comfortable and by the end of the week I felt like we knew each other for a long time.Their home is so beautiful and our entire family and friends had plenty of room. I can not begin to describe how peaceful and serene Worthley Pond is. The entire vacation was simply amazing. My entire family can not wait to return again this summer. I highly recommend this place. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation where you can swim , fish, kayak and just enjoy being together as a family, this is the place!! Thanks again Donna and Mike!

Wonderful Family Vacation!!!1

  • 5 of 5

I spent the first 12 summers of my life on Worthley Pond at my grandparents camp and have the most wonderful memories of summers there. I was so excited to come back, after all those years, and create some new memories with my family. We had the most wonderful time. We arrived to discover that the camp had been completely remodeled since we had booked our week. The kitchen was brand new, 2 new baths, including an on suite in the master. There was all new furniture including beds and everything was freshly painted and beautiful. It was a great surprise. The owners were there when we arrived just finishing the last few details and were so welcoming and helped us to get settled in. The location right on the water was perfect and we all got changed and jumped into the lake as soon as we could. The house was comfortable and cozy. We had a fire in the outside fireplace every night and spent every day floating on the lake. We had some close encounters with loons and my step daughter caught a giant bass, over 4 lbs, fishing from the paddle boat. I have to say we had the best vacation we have ever had. We spent hours playing cards, marathon monopoly games, swimming, fishing and having fun. I would highly recommend this spot to any family. We can't wait to be there again next year!
