Fabulous location and very good apartment

We had a week's stay in the apartment in Tuhillo. The location is excellent, just a short walk into Nerja and to the Balcon and the other way to the beach. The walk to and from the beach is via a steepish hill. The apartment was exactly as described. The view out across the garden and sea was lovely and we benefited from the Southerly facing balcony by having the sun more or less all day. The apartment was well equipped, very clean and provided free wifi which wasn't advertised but was available. There were also beach mats and a sun umbrella for guests use. Overall a super apartment which was very well equipped. The only reasons for the 4 star rather than the 5 are - some evidence of damp in one of the bedrooms. The 2nd double bedroom is very small, the bed is only a small double and the mattress needs replacing. One final thing which is not a criticism is that British guests just need to be aware there are no UK TV channels available on the satellite TV with the exception of BBC World News.

Great apartment with folkloristic furniture. Balcony with seaview and direct acces to pool-garden. Unfortuneately a bit damp and inadequate ventilation.? Bedclothes, blankets and chinaware somewhat inadequate.

A great apartment in a great location

That apartment was very clean and well presented with all of the facilities you would expect. It has a great location - very easy to get into town as well as the beach and is suitable for all ages ( Our party ranged from 5 - 72 ). The apartment is lovely and large - there were 3 adults and 3 children in our group and it never felt like we were crammed in. Locally there were good shops and supermarkets which made life simple. The pool was straight down steps off the balcony and the new sunloungers made lying in the gardens great. This is a much better location than Burriana beach where we have stayed before. Nerja is a great town with lots of lovely restaurants and tapas places. Avoid the very touristy restaurants as the food can be very poor and still the same price.

The only issue I had with the apartment was the shower room was very small and there was no bath, but this would not prevent me from rebooking this apartment again or recommending it to others.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely apartment - great views and plenty of space for 5.

The property was clean, well organised and well furnished, though there were small areas of damp in two of the bedrooms.

Everything necessary for cooking and eating meals was available and although the bathroom was small and lacked hooks the shower worked well.

Minor issues with internet access, gas replacement bottles, main fuse tripping were dealt with promptly and satisfactorily.

Having direct access to the pool was appreciated along with the generally quiet atmosphere of the apartment and block.

We would recommend a stay at this property and would certainly visit again.

Great stay all good!!

I have just returned from my holiday in Nerja and it was great. The apartment was suitable for all our needs, clean, spacious, close to the pool and communal area with stunning views. I would definitely recommend this apartment and complex to anyone. The only criticism that I would have is that the kitchen utensils were minimal and the satelite TV was tempermental. The shower room was a bit cramped but having said that I would have no hesitation in renting this again.

El Tuhillo is located on the front line with spectacular sea views. The award winning Burriana beach is just below.

The apartment is in a central location within a short walk of the famous Balcon de Europa.

Nerja is a coastal town at the foot of the Almijara mountains with a long tradition of fishing and agriculture. The fishermen still pull their nets ashore on Burriana Beach and fresh produce can still be bought from the doorways of local people's houses. The weekly market (Tuesdays) attracts many traders and shoppers from all over the region and the town centre has a vibrant, friendly atmosphere with many lovely shops, tapas bars & restaurants.

Nearby towns of Frigiliana & Torrox offer the experience of authentic Spanish whitewashed villages. The world famous Caves are located in Maro just 3 km east of Nerja. Baviera Golf Course is within 15 min drive & the ski resort of the Sierra Nevada, Granada is just 2 hours drive. Ski & dine on the beach on the same day! Walking is very popular in the Sierra de Almijaras. There is a large shopping centre on the motorway at Velez Malaga. Malaga city offers excellent shops & restaurants together with a great historical insight.
