The villa sits on the side of a hill allowing the wonderful views. It has been completely renovated and extended to provide an additional 2 bedrooms with ensuites, a new kitchen, a family bathroom and a new swimming pool with 2 large sun decks.The first guests came 15th June 2012. We provide all you need within the rental cost. Beach towels,shampoo, conditioners, sun screen lotion and bathmats etc. There is a free welcome pack with enough food and wine for a light lunch on arrival.

A private courtyard at the back of the house enables entry to the villa from street level either from the front gate or directly through the garage. The front door opens to a large lounge with stunning ocean views, an open plan kitchen and extra utility room with toilet and washing machine. The lounge has sliding doors that opens out onto the upper deck overlooking the pool. There are stairs from this deck to the pool deck below.

The kitchen has induction cook top, oven, dishwasher and large fridge

There is a separate utility room with washing machine and toilet (there 4 toilets in all)

Above the street level is a solarium (open deck) also for sun bathing.

The next level down via an internal staircase contains three bedrooms and is at the pool level

First bedroom with super king bed or 2 singles (if required). The double doors lead onto the pool deck. This bedroom has an en suite.

Second bedroom is the same with double glass doors onto a small private terrace....these are the new bedrooms and configured to wake up to a view of the ocean

Third bedroom is super king bed and has small balcony to the view. This shares the bathroom with the 4th bedroom. This was the original bathroom now refurbished.

Fourth bedroom has 2 or 3 single beds.....this bedroom originally was 2 single but the balcony has been enclosed to create much larger space for the extra bed. These are full beds we do not use pull outs or divans.

All bedrooms have overhead fans and are air-conditioned.

We have made the bedrooms so we can comfortably accommodate couples in a super king or non couples in singles.

The new pool is 8 x 5 metre with steps at the shallow end.

Out near the pool is a BBQ and sink with hot water.

The pool shower is at the end of the pool terrace.

Near the pool is a second fridge for cold drinks and ice.

Garage with remote door

The TV is a flat screen 50 inch with English and European free to air TV

DVD player with lots of movies and wifi Internet.

Fabulous view, lovely holiday

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and I'm pretty sure it won't be the last. The photos are a very accurate representation of this villa. The top floor is the living space with the most fabulous view which is shared by a generously sized outdoor eating area. There is also a well-equipped kitchen and separate utility room.

The bedrooms are simply furnished but feel fresh and clean and the bathrooms are modern with plenty of hot water.

We celebrated my birthday there and at one point had eight people staying at the house but it never felt over-crowded. The age range was twenty-eight to sixty-one and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Clean pool, well-maintained and plenty of terrace for all to find sun, with umbrellas for shade.

The location is good but you do need a car if you want to visit Javea port and old town, picturesque Granadella, which is a pebble beach and the gorgeous crescent of sand which is the Arenal with its good selection of quality beachfront restaurants.

Russell has done a great job of making this feel like a home from home and although very laid back, he is on hand should there be any problems. He is also very generous in terms of food & wine to get you started at the beginning of your stay.

I would certainly recommend to others ( in fact I have already).

balcon al mar villa

We arrived at the property and was met by Russell a fantastic host who let us know all about the villa and local area, villa was as described beautiful views ,spotlessly clean , everything you need to enjoy your stay .This was our last family holiday and one we will never forget, I would say that this is the best villa we have stayed in. As expected!

Our second stay at this villa. 2 weeks in 2013 and 2 weeks in 2014. Everything as expected and we enjoyed our stay.

The only thing to mention is the building / renovation of the house below this villa which created some noise (from around 8:30 in the morning) and dust in the air. However, in the future it is better to have a nice renovated house below, than the one that was in bad shape, and empty, as it was during summer of 2013.

All in all, this house, and the owner, is recommendable and provides excellent customer service and support.

Building and renovations are always of concern in a holiday resort and fortunately in Javea the Council restricts such noise in July and August being the busiest months. The house mentioned here is now completed so the view of their pool area is really nice Russell & Eileen

Home away from Home

We throughly enjoyed our week at El Mirador. The villa was immaculate and the views from the villa are mesmerizing! We also appreciated the central heating of an evening,although the days were lovely the evenings were cool,so heating is a must for us when renting early in the season.

We were greeted on arrival and Russell had ensured we had the essentials to start our holiday off, vital if you arrive on a flight late in the day.

All in All a great holiday we have no hesitation in recommending the villa.

What you see is what you get and even more

We just returned from a two month stay at the Mirador and really can only praise our holiday in Javéa. In this day and age it's quite seldom that advertisment and reality meet, this time it did.

The villa was clean and functional with a view to kill for. Russell did everything to make our stay enjoyable from the first minute. If we, as you will during a two month stay, ever had a problem, Russell had it fixed almost before we knew we had one.

The area felt very quiet and safe at this time of the year. The neighbours were nice and ready to help if needed.

So if you need a place for a quiet sunny winter holliday, this is it!

Beautiful inside and outside

The villa is located in a pleasant residential area of Javea - within 10 mins walk to a few very pleasant bars and restaurants. It is also an easy 40 min walk to Arenal beach (downhill) with its plethora of entertainment. We walked down a couple of times, had an evening there and then taxied it back up.

The views are spectacular - wonderful to wake up to - providing a fantastic backdrop to any holiday as all the rooms in the villa have the same outlook.

Standards of cleanliness and quality of amenities are exceptionally high. This villa is luxuriously equipped - it has everything you could possibly need and has the real wow factor from the minute you step in the door. The rooms are all light and airy. The pool is a good size and gets the sun for most of the day. There are various terraces where you can be in the sun, shade, breeze or shelter. The only thing I would mention is that the villa is on four stories top to bottom - this is why every room has such a fantastic view. We found it fine but less mobile people may struggle a little.

Finally, we found the owners to be particularly responsive and helpful. They provided everything promised - and more! We had a couple of issues when we were there and they could not have been sorted out any better.

I would thoroughly and without hesitation recommend this villa.

Balcon Al Mar is a prestigious development located close to the town of Javea on the Costa Blanca. The villa is located in an elevated position overlooking Portachol Island with 180 degree ocean views. The villa has recently had a makeover and every comfort taken into consideration for the holidaymaker. The area has a number of attraction. The Cap de La Nau lighthouse warns the passing cruise liners away from the magnificent cliffs and the point attracts many tourist for the view. There are 3 close by beach areas. Ambola Beach for the naturist, Granadella for the divers and La Baraca cove for a quiet sunbath. The town of javea is 5 minutes away by car for the sandy beach,the big supermarkets and numerous restaurants
