The apartment is in a fantastic location, 500 meters from the beach, the building is in an elevated position offering fabulous views of both mountains and sea from he spacious balcony which enjoys morning sun. There are two bedrooms and 1 bathroom. A sofa bed provides additional sleeping accommodation if there are children in the group. There is a large pool and a separate shallow child friendly pool set in well kept gardens with lovely sea views. T.V & Wifi (optional)

nice, quiet location but you need a car

It was announced as a quiet location and that was correct. You definitely need a car to get there because the apartement is at the top of a very steep hill. Everything was provided for a plesant stay (also a washing machine). The (free) airco is something you really need when you go there in the summer (+-30°C). The car can be parked under the apartements but keep in mind that the parking space is very narrow so we left the car outside for most of the time. My family and I (3kids) can recommend this apartement.

Great place for a holiday

Wow what a great spot.Just half hour from airport and the apartment was very well equipped,bright ,clean,great sea view.was a bit up hill on a cliff but just a short walk down to the beach.lovelly bars and places to eat.great swimming pool in complex.there was a couple of bbq's going on that we were invited to.Nice people by the pool.Spent couple of nights in Benelmadina marina.great restaurant fabulous a ferry to Malaga town,what a great looked after ,with the meet and greet,by Simon & Dawn ( had a few drink in there bar) thanks guys,see you next year.

Not what we expected - poor quality, dirty, residential area on a very steep hill (lots of dogs)

In order to provide a true and genuine review of this property, I shall follow the list of questions shown by HomeAway website under tips for writing reviews:

Firstly, I cannot say that the listing description was inaccurate or that the layout and amenities were not as described. However, neither can I say that it gave a true and fair view.

Property cleanliness and the standard of maintenance:

On arriving at the property we were told by the agent that this was the first time that the property had been let so he was keen to know thoughts.

In light of this I assumed we would see a high standard of cleanliness and maintenance. What we found was a small apartment with a catalogue of issues, including:

general - dirty walls, in particular around light switches and along the top of the tile up-stands

bathroom - black mould along the sink and a large crack in the bidet bowl

a large crack across the ceramic hob in the kitchen (corner to corner so in my opinion not very safe to use)

old paint on the face of the light switches

dirty walls in the kitchen - seemingly washed with a dirty cloth

cupboard doors and handles had been poorly cleaned, some of this I scrapped off with my finger nail!

chairs clearly had a layer of dust (the agent assured me that this was dust from the beach but the tables on the balcony were clean - quite how dust gets inside but not outside is still a mystery to me)

new towels which had NOT been washed

So, in short, the apartment is NOT clean and well-maintained.

Customer service:

I cannot comment on the owner as I only dealt with the agent - Dawn (and Simon).

When I contacted Dawn on the morning after our arrival (we arrived at 11.30pm) to ask that she come out to discuss the property she was very off hand and implied that there was nothing wrong with the property. Her manner and attitude when she arrived could not be described as 'good customer service' by any means! Only after I said that I was leaving did she suggest putting things right. She said that I was being too particular and that it was perfectly acceptable. She said it was the Spanish standard of cleaning but then told me that she had done the cleaning (she is English).

Local amenities:

Pool, looks nice from a distance. Not very clean close up. Also, a large sign saying no balls, toys etc in the pool or surrounding area. The sun beds were extremely old/worn

Sehr netter Vermieter, leider kein Pool

Alles soweit ok, Wohnung sauber, leider war der Pool nicht aktiv da er gewartet wurde. Das hochfahren auf den Berg hat manchmal genervt. Sonst schöne Ecke und schönes Meer

The building is built ¨Pueblo Style¨with pleasant gardened walkways leading from the gated entrance to your accommodation.The location is tranquil yet close to all you require for a great holiday. A car is recommended.
