The WHEATHER in Marche Region
Marche region has a Mediterranean climate, the weather in this region of Italy having hot summers and cool winters but whatever the season, the weather in Le Marche provides the home owner with a beautiful backdrop to this ever changing landscape.
From Mid March Marche temperatures often shoot up into the 20's and most days are filled with warm sunshine, however the region tends to have one or two cooler days each month with rain or drizzle.
Summer in Marche is hot and dry and, after a few showers in May, there is normally very little rain until late September. Some years, after very hot weather from mid July to mid August, brief but spectacular electric storms may occur. Whilst these can be accompanied with heavy downpours, they often occur without rain.
Autumn in Marche is warm and balmy and amazingly beautiful. The majority of the time the weather is still good with temperatures still over the 20 mark into November and sometimes December. The landscape coloring becomes more autumnal and is coupled with spectacular sunsets at this time of the year. It is time for harvesting grapes and olives, for venturing out from you Italian property walking, wild boar hunting or collecting an abundance of wild treats from nuts to mushrooms and truffles.
Snow begins to fall on the mountains of Le Marche in late November/early December and gradually falls at lower altitudes as the winter progresses. The atmosphere is drier than in Northern Europe as the winter sun is higher in the sky and will warm you, irrespective of cold air temperatures. Whilst the ski season at 1500m can last 3 months or more, the snow at low altitudes usually lasts a couple of days.

“Lovely Flat in the heart of a beautiful city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2015 NEW
This two bedroom vacation rental is in the heart of a lovely medieval city in the heart of Le Marche. We loved having so much space, a very serviceable kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms, a washer and great views.
The only downside? No AC. It was quite hot in the middle of summer. Still our host kindly provided three fans.

Abbiamo girato molto e visitato luoghi e paesini splendidi, incastonati in paesaggi sempre vari...
In ultimo una citazione per le Marche e la loro eccellente cucina!!! Manicaretti deliziosi e prezzi abbordabili un po' dovunque.
Lasciamo molto volentieri e soddisfatti questa piccola recensione a chi volesse soggiornare in questa meravigliosa residenza, GRAZIE

GO AND ENJOY IT!
When we arrived at the historical appartment in Mogliano (province the Marques), we were absolutely flabbergasted! The tasteful furnished and decorated appartment was also fully equipped with modern facilities such as a jacussi in one of the two bathrooms, a flat screen in the living and beautiful kitchen with a view on the roof top of the church. We and our both grils of 15 and 17 loved it!The hosts were amazing. They took a lot of effort to make us feel at home, not only by providing a rich breakfast but also by spending time to show us Mogliano and the near environment. We would certainly recommend this accomodation to people in case you seek beauty, culture and friendship in one of the finest parts of Italy. We visited many great places like the capitol Masserata, several middle aged cities, the lake Fiastra, the retail shopping centers of Prada and Todds and last but not least the beautiful beaches. Slow food and great wines (like vino cotto) are part of the package if you consider to book this destination for 2013! Some additional notes: did you know that the world famous Lorenzo Lotto worked and lived in this province? In one of the many churches of Mogliano, you can admire one of his master pieces. The people of the Marques are well-known for their friendliness and client focus. They will go the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. Conclusion: we rate our stay in Mogliano with 5 starts plus one! We only spent 6 days to get a first impression of the richness of the Marques in terms of culture, nature and culinair traditions.
The unique geographic position of the town (in the heart of Marche region) also allows you to fully enjoy both majestic mountains and blue flag sea side, at the same time: the house is just 20 minutes from the blue flag coast of the Adriatic Sea, some pretty fishing town with sandy beaches and fantastic fish restaurants.
At the same time we are 30 minutes driving from the Sibillini mountain National Park & ski slopes.
An original Franciscan Monastry, Abbadia di Fiastra, is 10 minutes away, with walks in the forest and cycle tracks. The historic city of Macerata (only 20 minutes by car) holds a renowned open-air Opera festival during July and August, and also offers a great shopping area, with museums and galleries.
Mogliano is 50 minutes from Ancona Airport (served by Ryanair with lots of daily flight to and from UK).
The town offers you all the modern facilities like banks, post offices, supermarkets, cafè, pub, bar, great choice of typical restaurants, different sport facilities and all comforts you may need, but still untouched by mass-tourism.
In Mogliano you can enjoy the annual reenactment 'Mogliano 1744' (the first week of July) when villagers perform a truly immersion show, dressed up in original costumes, recreating the typical vivid settings of that historical period. Take part and enjoy characteristic open air Tavern tasting genuine food and wine.
In the main square, you have to visit Apollo Theater.
