STARS AND STRIPES IS UNDERGOING RENOVATION. In the spring, almost everything will be new.... all new flooring, paint & light fixtures; updated kitchen including new countertops, backsplash, appliances and kitchenware; three completely renovated bathrooms; all new furniture and décor. We are even installing a fireplace! Please like us at and follow the progress. (The pictures posted here are the old pictures.)

A large front porch welcomes you to this charming beach cottage located in a private cul-de-sac in Cassine Village... just a few minutes walk from the beach and a just a few seconds walk to one of the two community pools and tennis courts.

This perfect beach retreat comes complete with twelve foot ceilings on main with 20-inch ceramic tile floors, cook's kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and everything you need to prepare a fantastic seafood feast after a long day at the beach, breakfast bar that seats three and a dining room that seats eight. The spacious and well appointed screened porch relaxing retreat leading to an outdoor shower and a small backyard perfect for Barbecuing. The main floor also provides you with a queen bedroom with large closet and full bathroom and laundry.

Upstairs there is a second queen bedroom with a private full bathroom as well as a bunk room. The oversized master suite comes complete with king bed, walk-in closet, private deck and en-suite bath with double vanities and separate loo.

Décor has recently been updated, all bed linens have been replaced and we've added flat-screen televisions in the three bedrooms. 55' flat screen recently added in main living room. A security system has also just been added for our guests' use.

Community swimming pool and tennis courts are right across the street.

You won't find a better value this close to the beach! Come visit Stars and Stripes and you will want to come back year after year.

While not in Seagrove, Carrie and Paul (Paton) Faletti split time between Atlanta, where Carrie sells residential real estate for Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby's International Realty and Kansas City where Paton is employed by NCM Associates. Carrie grew up vacationing in Panama City Beach and later at Sandestin so purchasing a home along 30-A felt like coming home. On their trips to Stars and Stripes (which are not often enough), Carrie and Paton love to do projects around the house, watch sunsets on the beach and enjoy all of the shopping and dining options the beaches of South Walton have to offer. Their three chihuahuas also love to come to the beach because they know they will get a lot of outdoor time which is limited in Atlanta.

We purchased this home because we love the area and it truly is the perfect getaway for us. The fact that we can leave Atlanta early in the morning and be at Bud and Alley's for lunch means we can maximize our trips.

What makes this house unique

Stars and Stripes is our home away from home. We enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches, which are a short walk from the house. We love the area the most because it is close to exclusive restaraunts and exciting activities, but far enough away to escape our busy and hectic schedules.

The house is just a short walk to the beach...very easy...and just a short bike ride to all the shops and restaurants in Seaside. Florida Family Fun

We loved the fit our family perfectly. It truly felt like home away from home. It had everything we needed for our stay. The neighborhood was delightful. The walk to the beach was not too far. We would definitely consider staying here again. Sure hated to leave!!!

Fantastic house and location!!!

Stars and Stripes was perfect for our family of two teens and two tweens. Easy bike ride to the beach and to Seaside so the kids could be a part of the action there and catch Pokémon:) We loved the neighborhood and the pools and that we could get to the bike shop, cheap Mexican, an ice cream shop, a nail salon and a pizza place within minutes--all at the front of Cassine Village. The house was well equipped--way beyond what we ever needed, since we ate out for every meal. However, you could easily cook whatever you want or have friends over for drinks and snacks, with all the cute serving platters, etc. Note: the AC was amazing. We have stayed at so many vacation houses over the years in various locations that never felt cool, but the air conditioning at Stars and Stripes worked so well that we had to keep turning the thermostat "up" because everyone was cold--not what I expected in hot and humid Florida!!

Ideal family rental

Good location, convenient to beach, restaurants, groceries and bike rentals. Nice established neighborhood, neighbors were helpful and friendly. Home works well for large family or party of 7 with kids (which is what we had)

Having 3 full baths a plus also. Would rent again.

Beautiful home, tough hike with kids

Let me start by saying that the home itself was beautiful, well stocked, and comfortable for all of us that went. We did have one minor issue with the downstairs A/C unit which froze up (due to low freon) and would not cool the downstairs. I was able to contact the owner and she had an HVAC company at the home in just a few hours. They were able to resolve the problem quickly and we had no further issues for the rest of our stay.

We utilized the community pool which is an easy 3 minute walk from the home. We also fished several times at the pond on the property and had a little luck. We also enjoyed the walking trails which seemed to go on forever. Our nature trail walk was shortened due to some inclement weather so we did not get to walk the whole thing but did enjoy the time that we did have.

We thoroughly enjoyed the community and surrounding shops/restaurants, etc. Our favorite place for the family was at The Hub which is just down the road about 5-10 minutes drive from the home. Large area for the kids to run around and play. Several eateries, a bar for the adults, and they had movies and sports events playing on the big screen. Really cool family atmosphere that we all enjoyed!

Now to the negative. There were 7 of us total on this trip, 5 adults and we have 2 young children(7 & 3 y/o) that were on this trip with us. The hike from the home to the beach is very long with kids. If you are just going by yourself as an adult or a couple with no children then it is manageable. However, for us, to make the kids walk that distance, while we carried the beach bags, pop up tent, beach chairs for all, ice chest, beach toys, etc. it was very tough and inconvenient. After the first hike we ultimately made the decision moving forward to load everyone into one vehicle, drive through the neighborhood and across the street and park right at the beach access to let everyone out there with all of the equipment. Whoever drew the short straw would drive the vehicle back to the home and then make the walk solo to the beach. Same operation when everyone was ready to go back. This process was very tough but adding to the headache was children who needed to go to the bathroom, and pop up thunderstorms that we got stuck in a few times. We really had to pay attention to the weather and try to plan breaks as best as possible to accommodate the kids bathroom needs so we didn't get stuck in a bad position.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and the area!

Great beach house

We loved this house. It fit all of the needs of our family. We shared this home for a long weekend with another couple that has an 8 month old. Our family has a 2 1/2 year old and a 6 month old. There was plenty of room, nooks, and space for the kids, which was a must have. We would have liked to be a little closer to the beach, but the short walk was definitely worth what we paid for the rental. My ONLY criticism is the fact that the owners had a very nice TV, but with no HD. Hard to enjoy anything on TV these days in low definition. Would definitely book this home again if we plan a gulf vacation in the future. Although, we probably won't be making a trek down there until they finish the construction on HW 331. Worst traffic I have ever dealt with.
