Chalet Planards is one of two newly built chalets, both with the same excellent facilities and both finished to a very high standard.
The exterior of the chalet is built from traditional materials, using the natural elements of wood and stone to create the traditional alpine feel. The interior features the same natural materials combined with stylish contemporary fixtures and fittings to great effect. The overall feeling is one of comfort and luxury.
The spacious open-plan lounge and dining room looks out onto a wide sunny terrace, accessible through patio doors. The view is one of the best in the valley, with Mont Blanc and the Aiguille du Midi to your left and Brevent to your right. This aspect ensures plenty of sunshine all day long. The terrace is equipped with outdoor furniture and a jacuzzi, perfect for a relaxing apres-ski soak.
Chalet Planards sleeps up to 10 guests in 5 comfortable ensuite bedrooms - all beautifully furnished and decorated.
The chalet is equipped with all the essentials such as modern kitchen appliances, WiFi internet and satellite TV. Covered and outdoor parking is available for up to three vehicles.
Chalet Planards can be booked in conjunction with its neighbour, to accommodate larger groups of up to twenty people. Catering, ski lessons, mountain guides and corporate services can all be organised on request, just contact us with your requirements and let us take care of the rest.

About Mountain Base - Andy
Property Manager: Based in Chamonix since 2004, Mountain Base is a fully registered French business run by Andy, Andie and Matt. We are one of the only British run businesses in Chamonix to hold the Carte Professionnelle (no. 1497/07), which obliges us to maintain a Garantie Financière (cash bond) against which all our clients are financially protected. During the years, we have built up one of the largest rental portfolios in the Valley, from studios to large chalets, from les Houches to le Tour. Our team and partners are the best in the Valley and are here to make sure your stay is an enjoyable, memorable and hassle free experience. Our philosophy: Professionalism and service, in a nutshell. From a speedy response to your enquiry through to on-hand service in resort, our team are at your disposal. Our office is in central Chamonix, so we are on hand to advise you throughout your stay and organise any little extras that you need. We have also invested a great deal in our bookings system, giving you real time availability, online booking and, uniquely, the ability to manage your booking online through to the point of arrival. Services: Our team will be able to organise anything you need, before, during and even after your stay. Whether it be pre-ordering ski passes, discounted equipment hire, ski lessons, mountain guiding, private chefs, masseuses, bike hire - you name it, we can organise it!

Beautiful chalet, great location, service company not so great
Really beautiful chalet, with lovely interior design and very comfortable beds. The sauna was amazing, and the hot tub very nice, although there seemed to be too many chemicals in the water. It has a totally James Bond log fire with a remote controlled hood, and all the many Velux windows have remote blinds. Every room has an ensuite with great showers, and about halfway through our stay we discovered there is also a cinema room past the drying room, with an amazing huge screen and Sky TV. Kitchen is well equipped, full garage, boot dryer etc. My only gripe is that the service company staff were a little rude, perhaps because I resented being asked to pay extra for a cot and a high chair. They charged 20 euros a piece; it won't break the bank (although those Ikea high chairs cost less to buy), I just don't like the principle, and as the cot came without a mattress, I still had to hunt one down, which was all the kind of hassle I didn't need.
Travelling around the Chamonix Valley
Although a car provides additional flexibility, Chamonix has a regular free in-valley bus service. Guests with either a “carte d’hote” or a ski pass can use the buses to move around the valley from Les Houches to Le Tour with stops at all the lift stations. There are also shuttle buses called “les Mulets” which are free and circulate the centre of town.
