This homely holiday apartment is a real gem and is situated on the 3rd floor of a 1920's Art Deco building in the highly regarded, centrally situated, residential Fleurs district where you can live like a local! It is light, bright, recently renovated and feels extremely spacious as the ceilings are 12 feet high. It manages to strike the perfect balance of being contemporary while still retaining old style Provencal influences and having buckets of French charm!
All rooms open out from the entrance area with its terrazzo floor which flows through into the Kitchen and Bathroom. There are parquet floors in the Living room and the Bedroom and both of these rooms have French doors (with shutters) opening onto Juliette balconies overlooking mature gardens. There is just so much charm and French chic about this apartment, yet it retains the cosy feel of home. It is a home from home on the French Riviera!
The Living area has comfortable seating and a new LED Flat screen TV with English news channels. The bistro table is strategically placed in front of the French doors and Juliette balcony to enjoy the view of the mature palm tree gardens below. Looking out onto a garden view in the city centre is a luxury and indeed a rarity in Nice! A varied selection of books, DVD's and CD's are also at your disposal! Free Wi-Fi is also available in the apartment.
The spacious Bedroom has a King size bed which on balmy days really benefits from having double exposure (French doors at the front and a window at the back of the room) to allow a cooling breeze to flow through it. There is a small Balcon outside the French doors in the Bedroom and it's just blissful to wake up to the view of palm trees first thing in the morning. Good storage space in the Bedroom provides plenty room to house your holiday wardrobe during your visit.
The Kitchen is extremely well equipped with plenty pots, delf, cutlery, glassware and utensils so it is no problem at all to cook a gastronomical delight should you wish to take a break from all the fabulous restaurants that Nice has to offer.
The Bathroom is large and spacious (unusual in a lot of Nice apartments) and boasts to having the luxury of a bath as well as a shower, a bidet, toilet, sink and mirror area. There is also a wall mounted cabinet and shelves to hold your toiletries and necessities during your stay.
All rooms have frontage on the building with either full length French doors (Living area and Bedroom) or large windows (Kitchen, Bathroom and Bedroom) so this is an extremely bright living space.If you close the shutters and leave the full length windows open when you leave, on your return, after a hard day at the beach or sight seeing, the apartment will be cooler and more tranquil. There is also a powerful and silent fan which provides a current of cool air should the temperature really rise.This apartment is just the ideal central location to base your holiday from. Its close to everything but still manages to be out of the late night revelry and hustle and bustle of the bars, cafes and nightclubs so it is quieter in the evening / night time than apartments in the Pedestrianised Zone or the Old Town.
Please be aware that this is a city centre apartment and there will inevitably be some traffic / city noise. We like to try think of everything to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay, so for those guests who are not used to traffic / city noise, ear plugs are provided!
Unfortunately, the apartment is not suitable for people with restricted mobility as it is on the third floor and the building (like a lot of buildings in Nice) has no lift.
The apartment is so close to everything a car is not necessary unless of course you wish to have one! If so, there is on-street public parking possible outside the apartment and on all the adjacent streets in the area. This parking is free between 8pm and 8am daily and all day on Sunday. There is also an indoor, pay car park just around the corner where you can get special offers prices for 5 night/weekly/monthly stays etc.
Please be advised that there is an ADDITIONAL 100 Euro SERVICE FEE PAYABLE ON ARRIVAL to the apartment managers. This Service Fee includes your meet and greet, apartment introduction and information by our property manager. It also covers utilities, end of stay cleaning and check out and also the provision and professional laundering of a set of cotton bed linen & towels.
