A jewel on the Wild Atlantic Way
The day you arrive at this home, you will pinch yourself - could such a beautiful home in such a beautiful place be real? I assure you, it is. Every comfort is thought of, from the well appointed kitchen to the comfortable beds and baths. You'll debate which view is the best while you enjoy a cuppa, and after days outside exploring the gorgeous beaches and mountains you'll even be able to keep that favorite warm layer clean thanks to the washer and dryer on site. Sinead has thought of everything, even books for yourself and the kids if you need a quiet way to pass your time, or set up the TV with your Amazon Prime or Netflix account if it's time for a movie. And don't let the size of the Rogans nearby fool you - it's got nearly everything you'd need and the baked goods are delicious!
I would have stayed for months if I could, it's that wonderful. I can't wait to return.
Thank you for your kind review. It was an absolute pleasure having you both stay at our cottage. You will be welcome back for a visit at any stage in the future.

Thank you so much for allowing us to spend our Ireland holiday in your wonderful cottage!
The house is really a dream, very well maintained and lovingly decorated. The great kitchen with cosy dining area (the panorama window!!!), the two high-quality bathrooms ... everything is new and very tastefully furnished.
We felt very comfortable and will definitely come again.
Lots of thanks & greetings
Daniela and Jan from Munich / Germany
Thank you Daniela & Jan. Delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay at our cottage. We hope you will return again in the future. Kind regards Sinead and John
Modern cottage in Connemara
A very comfortable and spacious house in a quiet setting off the beaten path but not far from diverse attractions. Splendid view on the ocean and the islands close to the coast. Thanks a lot to Sinead for the warm welcome and the support.
Thank you very much for your lovely review after staying in our cottage. We hope to welcome you back at some point in the future.
The house is located four miles from the nearest village, Tully where you will be able to stock up on all the essentials needed throughout your stay in Rogans. They stock a fantastic selection of meats & their butcher is more than helpful with hints & tips on how to prepare them. This is the nearest shop/petrol station to the house. Renvyle House Hotel is a little closer & is definitely worth a visit for afternoon tea or to dine in their award winning restaurant. To sample the local seafood visitors are spoilt for choice. Cloverfox in the village of Letterfrack, approximately 8 kilometres, has the best seafood chowder & mussels from Killary Fjord. All their dishes come highly recommended. Make sure to arrive there hungry as the portions are enormous. To work up that appetite a stroll/ climb up Diamond Hill is sure to take your breath away with the wonderful scenery. Diamond Hill is situated within the grounds of The Connemara National Park, it's free entry & has a number of different routes to suit most ages & abilities. The Seafarer (Letterfrack) & Paddy Coynes (in Tullycross ) both offer a great menu, make sure to arrive early as they always get a crowd! The Angler's Rest (Tullycross) & Maol Reidh Hotel (Tullycross) are also great spots to eat with all day menus. The Guinness is also very good- I'm told!! Tullycross is home to the "Mussel Festival" which is held every May bank holiday. In the summer months & at the weekends throughout the year you will be able to listen to traditional Irish music in alot of the pubs. Molly's Bar in Letterfrack has music every weekend & most nights during the summer months
Bike hire, fishing trips , horse riding, scuba diving are all available in the area. Or if its peace & relaxation you are looking for you have come to the right spot. A walk along our pristine white sandy beaches, or along a rugged unused bog road are both ways to distress & leave your worries behind. On the wild windy days wrap up in warm clothing & discover this portion of the Wild Atlanic Way by foot or on a bike. Deep breaths of our clean crisp air is definitely good for the soul!
Clifden town is 22.5kms, is known as The Capital of Connemara. It has plenty of shops, bars, coffee shops, restaurants to spend a few hours & is well worth a visit.
Scenic & historic tours of the peninsula can be easily arranged, where all your questions about the locality will be answered. My advise is to do this early during your stay as you will learn so much about the area & find out about places of interest for you to continue to discover. A local tour guide also offers day trips to the Cliffs of Moher, The Burren, Crough Patrick, and many other places of interest. If you request to go anywhere in Ireland he will do his best to accommodate your needs & organise a tailor made tour to suit. Kylemore Abbey is also a gem on our doorstep. It's Victorian walled gardens are spectacular and don't forget your camera to capture the burst of colour within those walls. Their tea room & craft shop are a must see, where local produce & crafts are on sale.
So whether this is your first time to the area or you are already lucky enough to know it, this home is a great base for the more adventurous guests to explore or equally a sanctuary for those who want a warm & cosy, relaxing atmosphere to call their home away from home......
