Trullo Rosa lies between Alberobello and Martina Franca on a hillside in its own grounds of 2 acres with olive, almond, fig and walnut trees and a beautiful private infinity pool, spa bath and original pizza oven. Free wireless internet access.
A feature of Trullo Rosa is the large kidney shaped swimming pool which is between 1 and 2.4 metres deep and around 72 sq. metres in surface area. The pool is finished with mosaic tiles and natural stone edging. There is a diving board and underwater lighting for midnight swims plus a fabulous 6 person spa. All bath towels, pool towels and beach towels are provided and are changed weekly as is bed linen.
The Lounge / Dining Area:
Within the original part of the Trullo is the lounge with its domed ceiling and comfortable settees, TV with Italian freeview, DVD player, CD & ipod dock. Free wireless internet access is available. The dining area, which is set in an alcove off of the lounge, is big enough for family dining. Following through the dining room leads you to the new part of the Trullo, where you will find the kitchen, two of the three bedrooms and two shower rooms (one being en-suite).
The kitchen is fully equipped to a high standard with dishwasher, fridge freezer, oven & hob and a door leading out to the terrace & pool area. A washing machine is available in the outdoor store
The Bedrooms (sleeps 6):
There is one twin room in the original part of the trullo and two double bedrooms, one with en-suite, in the new addition. Both have patio doors which lead out to the terrace and pool and ceiling fans. A travel cot and high chair are provided.
There is an excellent central heating system for the cooler months & constant hot water . All doors & windows have wrought iron grills & mesh screening to allow the windows to be left open but keep insects.
Puglia stretches from the stiletto of Italy's heel to the spur further up the boot and has a sunny Mediterranean climate. The region is very 'Italian' and boasts over 50 million olive trees producing 10% of the world's olive oil. It is also the largest wine producing area with vineyards in abundance.
Trullo Rosa, a few miles from Alberobello, the main town of the Trulli region. Home to around 1400 Trulli clustered together forming narrow cobbled streets; there are many excellent restaurants, bars and shops selling local handicrafts.
Alberobello lies in the picturesque Itria valley and is a facinating town to explore, market day is a must. Locorotondo and Martina Franca a short drive with Ostuni a little further away. The rocky Adriatic coast is around 20 km to the east with small sandy inlets, crystal clear water and many wonderful seafood restaurants overlooking the sea. The Ionian coast is around 50 km away and has long sandy beaches worth exploring
