Comfortable 4 bedroom house in the centre of Spatylas village, surrounded by olive grove. Opening to a small lounge pool area with maximum depth 1m, eqquiped with four comfortable bamboo sunbeds, with a view to the Ionian Sea, garden and mountain views. Two of the bedrooms provide king-sized double bed and the rest are equipped with separate twin beds. Also, 3/4 bedrooms have air-condition for coolin.. Although, the temperature of the house is always cool day/night thanks to its location.The kitchen is fully equipped. Breathtaking views from all rooms and terraces. 10 minutes from Barbati and Ipsos beaches. Wonderful combination of mountain and sea, offers the true Mediterranean experience.

Villa 'Balá' is located in the heart of the medieval Spartylas village, on the southern slope of Pantokratoras, developing a beautiful view to the sea. The villa comprises one large bedroom with a king-sized bed and 3 smaller ones with separate single beds. Bed linen and towels are provided. Directly outside there is a large sun terrace with panorama view, sun chairs and umbrellas and also a lounge area outside the main bedroom on the upper floor. Unique routes on natural slopes of the mountain, landscapes with wonderful views and rare flora (wild orchids), reaching the highest point of Corfu (914 m, height), mountain Pantokrator. The popular resorts of Barbati and Ipsos, with its crystal clear waters, are a 12-minutes drive. The airport and historic Corfu town are 30 minutes drive.

- La villa se situe dans les hauteurs de Corfou. Il faut compter un bon quart d'heure en voiture pour aller de la villa à la plage. (plus si le conducteur n'a pas l'habitude des routes de montagne!). Il est donc indispensable de louer une voiture.

Great house, far away from the beach

We went to Corfu on a family vacation, the house had great positive points but also negative points. The house is as seen in the pictures, the view is unbelievable, the owner and his cousin were extremely friendly and available at all times, gave us great advice for places to visit and restaurants to eat at. The house is equipped with a full kitchen, is quite and private.

On the other hand, the house is really far away from the main road on the beach, you need 15 to 20 min driving up the mountain in an extremely narrow road that sometimes fits only one car, with at least thirty 180 degrees turns. We had manual cars and that was a difficult for us to do. You need a good 45 min to get to the airport from the house. The beds were very hard and we found them to be uncomfortable.

In summary we enjoyed our stay, but if we visit again we would probably pick a different location to stay in Corfu.

Beautiful retreat in lovely village

We spent ten days at Ares’ house in Spartylas in June 2014 as a family with two three year old kids and we enjoyed it from day one! The house is located at an altitude of about 400 metres above sea level so you get a tremendous view over Corfu’s capital Kerkira and it’s harbors with all the incoming and outgoing ships and ferries. Due to its multi-leveled floor plan (inside and outside) it is very spacious and offers privacy if needed, so we plan to come back with a befriended family!

You get all the basic things at the shop, the taverns and the bakery in the village, for the special needs it is a minimum 35-minute ride to bigger supermarkets (and to other venues). The house is a good starting point to explore the north, east and west of the island with its wide variety of beaches, and you can hike up to the top of the Pantekratoras (which is the highest mountain of the island)along the Corfu trail in about three hours from there.

Facilities and furnishings are complete and in good shape, the house and garden are well maintained, people are nice and very friendly. We had a quiet and easy time, and we had the best barbecues ever there! Ares, thank you for your kind hospitality!

Wonderful house with amazing view to the sea

We really enjoyed our stay in the quiet and beautiful village of Spartilas.

The house was really spacious and comfortable for us, because we were two families with children. The thing that we loved was this unique view to the sea and also to the town of Corfu, especially at night with all these lights combined with the peace and quiet that the village offered to us.

And finally, i would like to thank Aris for his excellent hospitality.

Hopefully, we will visit you again.

Favoulous Spartylas

A very nice and big! Located on top of the mountain in a very quiet village. 4 large bedrooms, 3 comfortable bathrooms, a nice living room with kitchenette and dining area / dinner, a wonderful garden with barbecue area overlooking the sea and relax with a hammock. To get to the nearest ipsos necessarily need a scooter or a car because you have to walk about 6km uphill climb / descent with many hairpin bends. The property was very clean and well kept. The manager is a very nice guy and friendly we came to take ipsos with his jeep to take home after she recommended where to rent the scooter. Recommend this house to a group of people (7/8) that love peace and are not afraid to do a little road trip to the beach. Corfu is an island that has to be turned and explored allowing gorgeous landscapes. Near the property there is a small family-run market provided enough the owners are very kind. There are a bar, a bakery and a tavern etc..The price is very good. At 20 minutes from the airport, 5 minutes from Ipsos (Corfu the Rimini).

The medieval village of Spartylas is located 20km north-east of Corfu town and literally 'hanging' on the steep southern slope of Pantokratoras, developing a wonderful panoramic view.

Spartylas is a quiet place that combines sea and mountain, covered by olive grove, offering the true Mediterranean feeling. If you love walking along unique routes on natural slopes of the mountain, you will find landscapes with wonderful views and rare flora (wild orchids), reaching the highest point of Corfu (914 m, height), mountain Pantokrator. Cycling and horse riding promise pleasant and unique experience.

On the other hand, if you feel like swimming in crystal clear waters or water-skiing, para sailing ... and diving in shallow marine landscapes (or bottom in a deep vertical ... for more experienced); Dassia, Ipsos and Barbati are famous tourist areas with excellent services and blue flags, located just 10' minutes from the village.

Also, Dafnila and Glyfa are suggested for quieter situations.
