Beautiful property, very private and quiet. The house was clean, very spacious and comfortable. Access to long trail system and we swam in the pond every day. We would recommend this property and would love to return!

6 of us take a weekend every February to snowshoe in the country. We have certain expectations. Wooded areas, walking trails, space to spread out, modern conveniences and atmosphere. This place had it all. From the tastefully decorated cabin with all its beautiful antique pieces and spacious living areas, to the private property with room to roam. Lisa responded quickly to all enquiries and was more than helpful. Would definitely rent again. Loved it.

Truly magical!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is as wonderful in the winter as it must be in the summer. We had lots of snow and it was like a fairy tale! We went snowshoeing and sledding in the Durham Conservation Area (just 5 min away, with great cross-country and snowshoeing trails), and around the property which is fantastic. You feel like in the middle of the woods. The weather was very cold, but the house was cosy and warm, with fire in family room, comfy sofas and homey atmosphere. The hottub has a view of the snowy forest, and this was another highlight whether at sunset or under the moon shining.

On the practical side, the cabin has everything you may need, kitchen is well equipped, rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. The furniture, the details (such as hardware) and decor are all great! This is beautiful place. We are a large family with 2 small children, and there was room for everyone - either to be together or to cosy up with the book in the loft upstairs or by the fireplace. We loved the long antique dining table, in most places we rented before dining was cramped but not here!

There is great coffee shop in the village, they have jazz nights there. We had to make several trips to the stores but the village is just minutes away and so convenient.

Lisa responded immediately to couple of questions we had during our stay.

Overall, it surpassed our expectations. We had fabulous time - in this great place - thank you!

Lovely place, lovely location.

  • 5 of 5

We booked in for a few days of winter relaxation. The cabin is actually a big home, very nicely finished and much larger than expected. It's at once cozy and spacious, and we made ourselves at home in the living room area to read and relax.

There are a number of nice walking trails in the area, and we spent hours hiking around the property, although I'm sure we saw only a fraction of the 23 acres.

Lovely spot; highly recommended.

Clean cabin, peaceful setting

  • 4 of 5

Group of friends really enjoyed our stay. Lots of room for seven of us to spread out, place was very clean, and everyone commented on the comfortable beds. Nice to sit out on the covered porch and enjoy listening to birds and other critters. Wifi was a bit intermittent, but wasn't a big deal overall.
