Park Falls House Rental Photos and Description

House, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-10)

Look no further! We invite you to stay at our home, located on a large quiet Lake which is one of a four lake chain totaling over 1900 acres.

This property has woods on either side to ensure your privacy. The spacious yard is the perfect place for the kids to run and play or to unwind and relax in the hammock. The pier, with bench, juts out over the sandy bottom beach, where big and little fisherman alike will have fun catching a variety of fish, or take the rowboat out and try your luck elsewhere. The chain contains bluegill, sunfish, perch, crappie, small and large mouth bass, walleye, northern, and muskie.

This 2000 square feet home is surrounded by thousands of acres of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, which has some of the best ATV and snowmobile trails the northwoods has to offer. Both can be done right out of the large driveway! The forest also has many trails for hiking and biking. If you cross-country ski, there are many nearby trails or you can head out and tour the lake(s) and check out the islands.

For your indoor enjoyment, have fun challenging each other on the 7 foot game table, which includes pool, ping-pong and air hockey. A selection of DVD movies are provided that the kids and adults will enjoy watching together.

The screened sunroom, flanked by two new balconies, is the most popular spot in the house. Meals and hours of card games have been enjoyed there.

In the evening, gather around the large lakeside campfire ring for s'mores, star gazing and great conversation.

Why The Owner chose Northern Wisconsin

It's away from the hustle and bustle of Minocqua which means peaceful and quiet surroundings with beautiful views of the lake, islands and the thick forested backdrop of the opposite shore.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"We had a great time at your cottage the week of 7/18. Everything was just as we expected and as described in VRBO ad. The lake was great, nice and quiet compared to Round Lake. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat which we used often. The cottage was comfortable; our two girls loved the lower level with games/movies/etc. The weather was a little cool and but we all skied -- some of us even wore a dry suit! We had two fawns visit us several times near the driveway; we loved all the wildlife – ducks, loons, etc."

Great lake home on quiet like.

  • 4 of 5

We spent two nights in mid October at this home on Pike Lake. We enjoyed the perfect fall colors and the spaciousness of the home. Beautiful screened porch to enjoy the wonderful fall days. Lots to do in the Minocqua area. Good cell phone coverage with both Verizon and ATT.

Keep It For Myself

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I went for the first week of October and loved it. Absolutely beautiful setting. Saw lots of wildlife, i.e. deer, wild turkey, eagles and your normal little critters. I took my bicycle along and could ride several miles on some of the backroads with almost no traffic. The lakes were great for kayaking and one day a family of otters tagged along for a couple of minutes. Trees were changing which made for great pictures. We took several long drives in all directions just to see the scenery and hang out in the little towns. We loved eating in the local cafes and taverns and many had great food. One of these is called Moose Jaw and is only a couple of miles from the house. The local people were all very friendly.

If you are looking for a house that is ultra modern and fancy you wouldn't like this one. However, if you like a rustic and clean place with plenty to do I would definitely recommend this house and this area. The house includes, kayaks, paddle boat, row boat, pool table, bicycles... you name it. We actually got together with a real estate agent to check out lake homes for sale. I would like to come back in other seasons. There are snowmobile trails everywhere, cross country skiing, ATVing, ... You get the idea.

Just what you're looking for!

  • 5 of 5

What a great place - a rustic house on the lake with charming decor and peaceful surroundings! We were two couples and three 3-4 year old's and a good time was had by all! Fish, an eagle, deer and snakes, oh my! The house was free of spiders and webs, insects and creepy crawlers! Clean and well stocked with everything you'd need. Your children will make wonderful memories here. Thanks Freber family for such a seamless stay!

We didn't want to leave!

  • 5 of 5

Our long weekend up north was nothing less than perfect. The cabin was THE best we have rented in the North Woods. Since it was after Labor Day, the lake was quiet and so peaceful. The rental had everything we needed to stay busy. We kayaked, fished from the boat and pier ( the bass are tricky ;), had a fire every night right next to the water and were visited by a little family of otters! Every morning we woke up and sipped our coffee on the deck over looking the lake. What a nice break from the city! A perk to note is there isn't a steep hill down or a bunch of stairs to get down to get to the doc so my mom who has a bad hip had no trouble at all. I could go on and on but you'll have to see for yourself. A big thanks to the owners for being so easy and pleasant to work with; very quick response times and they do a great job making sure there is plenty to enjoy in their home. We will be returning soon!

Wonderful Northwoods vacation

  • 4 of 5

Our small group of 4 had a wonderful vacation at this idyllic cabin. All the comforts you could ask for, along with the perfect northwoods experience. The accommodations were ideal for our group, and all the necessary amenities were available - kayaks, row boat, etc. We rented a pontoon which was very easy to keep at the dock. We really liked the Moose Jaw Resort down the road (great food!), and our visits to town (Minocqua). It was everything we'd hoped for in our vacation. The only thing that could have been better would have been actually catching instead of just "fishing". Owners make sure you have all you need to enjoy a great time. Thanks Todd and Pat!
