Park Falls House Rental Photos and Description

House, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-10)

Look no further! We invite you to stay at our home, located on a large quiet Lake which is one of a four lake chain totaling over 1900 acres.

This property has woods on either side to ensure your privacy. The spacious yard is the perfect place for the kids to run and play or to unwind and relax in the hammock. The pier, with bench, juts out over the sandy bottom beach, where big and little fisherman alike will have fun catching a variety of fish, or take the rowboat out and try your luck elsewhere. The chain contains bluegill, sunfish, perch, crappie, small and large mouth bass, walleye, northern, and muskie.

This 2000 square feet home is surrounded by thousands of acres of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, which has some of the best ATV and snowmobile trails the northwoods has to offer. Both can be done right out of the large driveway! The forest also has many trails for hiking and biking. If you cross-country ski, there are many nearby trails or you can head out and tour the lake(s) and check out the islands.

For your indoor enjoyment, have fun challenging each other on the 7 foot game table, which includes pool, ping-pong and air hockey. A selection of DVD movies are provided that the kids and adults will enjoy watching together.

The screened sunroom, flanked by two new balconies, is the most popular spot in the house. Meals and hours of card games have been enjoyed there.

In the evening, gather around the large lakeside campfire ring for s'mores, star gazing and great conversation.

I'm not always able to view every inquiry within the 24 hour acceptance period. This does NOT mean I'm not interested in you. If I'm on vacation or over the weekend, I may be a few days late in responding, so please be patient. I can respond much quicker during the workweek.

We keep our calendar very up-to-date, so please refer to it for availability.

ADDITIONAL RENTAL INFORMATION:

*Special note to snowmobilers, if you choose to cancel your stay due to lack of snow, we will refund your money 100% only if the snowmobile trails are officially close for the duration of your scheduled stay.

Why The Owner chose Northern Wisconsin

It's away from the hustle and bustle of Minocqua which means peaceful and quiet surroundings with beautiful views of the lake, islands and the thick forested backdrop of the opposite shore.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"We had a great time at your cottage the week of 7/18. Everything was just as we expected and as described in VRBO ad. The lake was great, nice and quiet compared to Round Lake. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat which we used often. The cottage was comfortable; our two girls loved the lower level with games/movies/etc. The weather was a little cool and but we all skied -- some of us even wore a dry suit! We had two fawns visit us several times near the driveway; we loved all the wildlife – ducks, loons, etc."

So much fun

  • 5 of 5

This property was everything it claimed to be. So well taken care of and so much to do right there. We used the kayaks to paddle around the lake. We fished from the pier and had a couple of fun nights grilling and then roasting marsh mellows around the campfire. The sky was so clear we had a wonderful view of the milky way and saw shooting stars and satellites. There were otters, bald eagles and deer right on the property. The lodging was very well maintained and had everything and more than we needed. We primarily came up to mountain bike and hike. There were many trails close by that were beautiful and very accessible. We'll be back. Very happy renters!

Who could ask for anything more?

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed at the cabin in July, and we had a fantastic time! Todd and Pat provided everything that we needed. The cabin and property were just as described. It was clean, private, and completely comfortable.

The weather was warm and humid during our stay, and even though there is a constant, cooling lake breeze, we appreciated having the air conditioner and ceiling fans. The screen porch was probably our favorite part of the house, and we spent a lot of time there eating meals and playing games. We also enjoyed the game room and had some epic air hockey and ping pong battles.

The options for water sports were great, and our kids loved the swim platform. We rented an 8 hp motor for the boat, which was fun for exploring the chain of lakes.

We hope to return again!

Wonderful North woods Cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is great for a family vacation. We took our Grandkids and they enjoyed the canoe, kayaks and fishing boat. The screened in porch was a great place to read and watch the sun come up up over wonderful Pike Lake. We had two fires down by the lake and enjoyed the wonderful evening and the unique sound of the resident Loons.

Nice home!

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely family vacation (myself, husband, daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandsons ages 8 & 5). Very clean and homey (very accurately described). We felt the boys were too young to be by themselves in the basement but there were plenty of other sleeping options and everyone was very comfortable.

The lake was wonderful, great for boating, kayaking, swimming and fishing (even though we only caught 3 fish all week, it was fun trying!) The owners had everything available for the water, boat (bring or rent a motor), canoe, kayaks, life jackets.

They have a charcoal grill included with charcoal & lighter fluid (a gas grill would be nice) and plenty of firewood (the mosquitos were so bad we only had about an hour fire one night) thank goodness for the nice screened in porch, we ate pretty much every meal there and enjoyed that room the most of all!!

Thank you for allowing us time to stay in your home. Hope to see you again!

Owner's Response: Unfortunately, mosquitoes and the Northwoods go hand in hand. However, this year produced a bumper crop of them. Always be prepared with bug repellant!

Great Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My son and I planned a last minute vacation to Northern Wisconsin and inquired about a number of rentals. Todd was the only owner that responded and answered our questions. We booked two weeks on two days noticed and Todd was very helpful. Their place is wonderful. Quiet location, great lakefront view and excellent lakes, and the cabin was spotless. Could not have been more pleased with our choice.

We took advantage of their fishing boat, with a motor rented from Minocqua Rentals, but a canoe and paddle boat were also available. Moose Jaw Lodge was convenient by both boat and car, which we frequented quite a few times. Fishing could have been better, but that may be my inexperience as an angler, not the fishes fault. Daily deer sightings, eagles and even a bear (seen while exploring the Turner Lake area of the Pike Chain, not near the cabin) all made the stay enjoyable.

Overall, a great time was had and hopefully we can make it north again soon.

Thank you Todd and Pat.
