Hello I'm Helen, I deal with all enquiries and I keep the Boathouse to a high standard. I am continually tweeking the property to make sure your stay is comfortable and memorable.

Moved to the Lake District in 1989 from Lincolnshire and I still marvel at the views. I enjoy being outside and make use of the lake and mountains.

Walkers Boathouse, Lake Windermere

  • 5 of 5

We loved the location of the Boathouse, the view from the balcony is amazing rain or shine! No detail is overlooked by the owner resulting in a very comfortable stay. We stayed with a toddler and newborn so it all being on 1 level was brilliant. The house is well equipped making it feel like a real home from home. We would definitely come back and would reccomend to friends

Lovely property, great views, excellent location

  • 4 of 5

The property was a very high standard and had great views, right on the water's edge. It is just a 10minite walk into Bowness with a quiet path the whole way, from right outside the property. It is really convenient for the ferry over to the other side of Windermere. Really handy having The Boathouse bar / restaurant just a 2 minute walk away and the food was great. Would definitely recommend. Only thing which could possibly be improved is a small roof / cover to cover the balcony so it can still be enjoyed when it's raining (though not sure planning permission would allow).

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review, due to our prominence on the Lake we are unable to put any kind of cover over our balcony. Thank you for the suggestion. Helen.

Just perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Walkers Boathouse truly is luxurious in every way. The views from the lounge balcony are stunning. Sadly it wasn't warm enough for us to sit out with a glass of wine!

Facilities and cleanliness are of a very high standard. The welcome pack is a nice touch too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely return.
