A Five Star Experience - Everything you could wish for in a holiday apartment

  • 5 of 5

We thought the photographs were amazing but the reality is even better. This is a wonderful apartment , beautifully decorated and dressed and kitted out with everything you could possibly need. Definitely 5*

Location is excellent only yards from Place aux Herbes with the fabulous weekly markets on Saturday and Wednesday.

Lots of lovely restaurants within walking distance and the Duchy Park is close by where you can enjoy a picnic and a nice stroll .The Park also leads to some longer walks for those inclined.

We spent a week here and a month wouldn't have been too long. We loved it!

Thanks to Dominique who was very responsive before and after our booking and who was able to accommodate an early arrival and a late departure . Check in and check out was a doddle!

We arrived from Nimes and left for Avignon in each case by bus.The apartment is a five minute walk from the bus stop on the Esplanade. Anyone concerned about arriving by bus should have no fear - very easy.We also visited Pont du Gard by bus from here - very easy.

Thank you Dominique for a lovely stay - and for the lovely bottle of wine! We hope to return one day and in the meantime highly recommend the apartment to anyone travelling to beautiful Uzes.

Best wishes

Peter & Ann

Perfect place on the edge of Provence

  • 5 of 5

A wonderfully light, bright and airy apartment. Large windows with functioning shutters to keep out early morning light or hot afternoon sun. The kitchen is nicely arranged so you can actually cook meals efficiently. Even sharp steak knives and an oyster knife were in the inventory. I really enjoy cooking when the fresh ingredients are so incredible. The Uzes markets were even better than I imagined. Dominique left perfect instructions for enjoying the apartment as well as the beautiful town of Uzes. It was the nicest week of our 3 week visit to France. The location of the apartment was also perfect, quiet at night but only a long block from the heart of Uzes. We are already planning our next trip to Uzes and look forward to working with Dominique and Christophe again. Many thanks.

Perfect Property for a Visit to Uzés and Surrounding Area

  • 5 of 5

The property's pictures convey it well. It is inviting, light, and airy, with large windows, open living space, bedroom and bath upstairs, and separate kitchen area. The kitchen was fully appointed and the bed was comfortable. The living area has enough comfortable areas for conversation, and there is a small desk that served as a useful computer workspace. It also has a fully functioning small laundry -- washer and dryer, a dishwasher (we didn't use this as we never had sufficient dishes to bother, but it's a nice addition. The location could not be more perfect. It is only a few minutes walk to the main square and market area, many restaurants, the castle, cathedral, and garden. Parking is nearby so the car is safe, and you can purchase a multipass for the parking lot that allows in-and-out access during the period for which you've purchased the pass. A walk to the ring road (maybe 5 minutes) gives you access to a small grocery store, banks, etc. The managers have left a useful guidebook for the unit, as well as with suggestions for sights to visit and restaurants to choose. Everything was clearly laid out for us before and during our visit. I'd highly recommend this unit if visiting Uzés,

Uzes is a great home base and this apartment is beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is a short block away from the Place aux Herbes, making it close to the action of the restaurants, shops, and market days but leaving it quiet at night. We had a wonderful week here in June. We used it as a home base and it was an easy drive to the Cote du Rhone region, Avignon, Roussillon, Nimes, and Arles.

The apartment was beautiful, just as relaxing and pretty as it looks in the photos. The best part was the tower! We were up there each day with a cup of coffee, or wine and a baguette. The view is so beautiful! It was fun to pick out the tower when we were atop the King's Tower in the Medieval Garden, and that also showed us just how unique this property is. The kitchen is equipped with everything we needed for meals prepared with ingredients from the local markets that took place on Saturday, Wednesday, and Friday during our stay. Also within very easy walking distance are a wine shop and multiple bakeries. While the apartment does not have AC and the outside temperatures were in the low 90s F, opening the windows kept it comfortable.

We are hoping to return to Uzes and this property again!

  • 4 of 5

Great apartment for using as home base.... Or just relaxing and enjoying the French decorated interior with views of the Place du Herbes... Well appointed and maintained. Comfortable and spacious.

Property managers Dominique and Cristophe were wonderful. Dominique speaks English and was very helpful.

Would highly recommend this property.

"Feast for the senses"

  • 5 of 5

My one month stay in Uzes was memorable. The medieval village of Uzes was a welcome retreat from the hectic life of New York. I arrived at the emergence of Spring with fresh flowers emerging from every meadow and rock crevice. All was set against a beautiful bright blue sky by day and clear deep blue sky by night filled with stars. I especially enjoyed the sky from the large open village square which allows for a good vista of the sky. With the church bells ringing close by and the fragrances of delicious foods and lovely spring flowers everywhere Uzes is truly a feast for all the senses.

The apartment was a great backdrop for daily living, aesthetically pleasing, comfortable and functional. After climbing a somewhat dark and unfriendly stair tower to the apartment entrance the greeting to the light filled apartment was a welcome surprise. The apartment is well maintained and the managing company is professional and accommodating.

The whole month of hikes and visits to neighboring villages, shopping and cooking from the the market, dining in village restaurants and taking French class at the Institut de Langue passed quickly! I am still savouring my memories of life in the lovely village of Uzes !
