About Jim & Marilyn Horton

We both grew up in Connecticut and still reside there. The land of steady habits! :-) We attended college in Connecticut as well and both spent our entire careers in public school education. We are now retired which allows us to spend more time on beautiful Ft. Myers Beach.

Why Jim & Marilyn Horton chose Fort Myers Beach

We first visited Ft. Myers Beach in 1991 and immediately fell in love with the beautiful white sandy beach and community. Something really 'spoke' to us on our first trip. The following year we purchased our Voted 'Best Condominium on the Beach' condo and have traveled to Ft. Myers Beach every year since!!

What makes this condo unique

Our first priority in purchasing a home on Ft. Myers Beach was that it had to be direct Gulf front and offer wonderful views of the Gulf of Mexico. We were very fortunate to find both of these qualities in our condo. In addition, we loved the interior design and floor plan. We insisted on a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit because we wanted to have adequate space for family and friends to visit us. We love our condo and have never once regretted purchasing it. We still marvel at the spectacular views that we get from our lanai, master bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen!

Extending Summer

This is our second year in this unit and we’ve already booked for 2017. The unit is everything as described in the listing. Bedrooms, living/dining rooms are the perfect size; kitchen is well equipped and very functional – best part is the balcony-gorgeous sunset views. Condo, the building and grounds are well maintained. As a bonus we finally got to meet the owners and got to know one another better. Location is perfect! Not too close to the tourist hussle and bussle and not too far away to stop you from enjoying happy hour or an evening out.

What’s not to recommend?? Great place!

Paradise

This will be our 8th trip here! My husband, I & our teen daughters stay 2 weeks every summer. It realkygs become our home away from home! We spend long lazy days relaxing on the beach under our favorite hut and swimming in the gulf waters or the swimming pool. The unit has been updated and provides all the amenities of home. The view from the private screened in Lanai is perfect for morning coffee or fining by sunset! The location on the island is at the more quiet end but not far from Times Square activities, shopping and many restaurants. There are bbq on the property which is always fun cooking why watching the sunset! There is a publix grocery store within walking distance. The owners are extremely friendly and are very easy to deal with! If your looking for a tropical getaway that is hassle free, relaxing and yet still feels like home this is the place!

Great vacation

We love to stay at this condo. This time we celebrated our daughter and son-in-laws 25th Anniversary. They love the beach as well as me and my husband. We had some rain but were able to "play" around those days. Ate at some great restaurants; Beached Whale, Gulf Shores and Cottage Grill, Heavenly Biscuit, and; The Lighthouse that is located before bridge to Sanibel and also close to Outlets. We saw beautiful sunsets on the beach at Smugglers Cove. Getting around was easy, very little traffic and construction wasn't bad. This was my 8th time at this condo. The property is very clean and well maintained. It is my favorite place to feel contentment, joy, and peacefulness. I hope to return again.

BEST LOCATION ON ISLAND !!!!

We have been vacationing at FMB for a few years now and have to say that this location has to be the best on the island period. Condo is everything as advertised and more; comfy ,clean, fantastic views and friendly complex staff. Owners Jim and Marilyn great to deal with. looking forward to our next stay.

A wonderful stay

A very well equipped Condo with an unbeatable view over the Golf. The property is well maintained and the owners are helpful in any way. The two maintenance men are very kind and helpful whenever we had a little problem. In our opinion the Condo would need re-furbishing but all in all it is absolutely worth coming back.

Owner's Response: We are so glad that you enjoyed the spectacular views from our gulf-front condo. We are very proud of the meticulous maintenance of our property both inside and out. It is wonderful to hear that our on site maintenance men were so kind and helpful. We understand that everyone has different tastes in furnishings. We strive to provide a Florida beach feel and that is why three years ago we completely renovated our condo to include new kitchen cabinets with quartz countertops, installed porcelain tile throughout the unit and replaced all of the doors including the sliders to the lanai and repainted the unit. It is gratifying to hear that our guests think that it is absolutely worth coming back.
