My wife and i stayed for month of November with 2 friends. We stayed in #5 which was whole top floor with 2 small balconies. Our friends stayed in #3 which was on road side building, (these 2 buildings facing each other),very nice for them.Rooms were self contained and clean, spacious and modern.King bed was comfy.Big jugs of purified water for kitchen, 1 supplied and 26 pesos for next jug, cheap. No bugs or insects in room.Rooms have screens on doors/windows.Out of 5 units, only 2 were booked by us in November as it is slow season. We used the communal lounge/kitchen daily for drinks and cards etc. It has drinking water, toilet, fridge, stove and chairs etc.Pool was nice, clean and refreshing on hot days which were many.If all rooms were full the loungers at pool may need to increased, but for us it was great as we were only 4 as opposed to max. 10 persons.
Beach was a little disappointing as it was weedy and murky many days, time of year. We did go in and it was like a bath. City could have cheap labour to clean it up few times a week, bars on beach would hire labour to clean in front of their bar for cruise ship folks.Beach is long for walking, malecon is real nice to,and not any vendors on foot hassling you. Cruise hips from US gulf states/cities we in 2 times a week, slowly increasing to 3 per week.Never crazy busy when ships were in,many would book tours away from town. Many bars, restaruants with good food and cheap beer.No need for car on daily basis as location of Casa sol Mar was great. restaurants, Super mercados and such were short walk, same as cafes and eateries.Laundry was 3 blocks away, cheap.
Owners and manager were great to deal with, thanks to them.
1)Consider offering folding beach chairs
2)Consider offering up the onsite washing machine 1 time per week or so,even for small charge.
-No need for dryer use as you can hang clothes on rooftop lines (dry in few hours)
All in all great location, 1 block from Malecon and Beach, very walkable throughout small town.
Hope to return one day soon.
