Progreso: Luxury Vacation Rentals (3)

Recent Progreso Reviews

Great location and facility.

We enjoyed this location, the management and the facility. It is a cruise port but this location is just far enough to not get the tourist crowds. Not that they are bad, they can be fun to watch and listen to.

Dream Vacation

5 of 5
Legacy of dreams is just what is says - "A Legacy of Dreams". See the picture with the pool, the beach, the blue water - It frames the picture with the deck and makes for a fabulous picture and view. From the airport it takes 40 to 45 minutes to get there. Once there you do not want to leave!!! It is just gorgeous. The house is decorated with beach decorations which sets the tone even more. It is a very roomy house. Kitchen has a big bar with plenty of space to cook and eat. But if you want to do something more formal there is a table that seats plenty. Each room in the house has glass from ceiling to floor that faces the beach. So the entire time you are in the house you are looking at a breath taking view. The beds are very comfortable and their are three bathrooms and showers which gives you plenty of room for everyone. The beach is private. Most of the time you feel like you are on your own private beach. The water is blue and beautiful and is great for floating, swimming, snorkling, etc.. Also, if you like wildlife - there are iguanas, all different kinds of birds, and we saw a sea turtle come to shore and lay eggs. Progresso is about a 15 to 20 minute ride from the house. The cruise ships port in Progresso for a couple of days a week. We went to town when the cruise ship was in port and we had a great time shopping at the market, dining out, and dancing. There is also a market for vegetables, fruits, flowers and all kinds of meats. We stocked up for the week and the food was out of this world. This was one of the best vacations I have ever had. If you are looking for a get away this is the place to go. The owners were very accommodating and helpful. I hope to go back!!!
