Our group comprised of 13 family members/4 generations staying over the Thanksgiving holiday and our little dog (I'm so glad they except dogs because he is a part of our family too!!!!). We all loved the place and didn't want to leave. The master suite had a wonderful bathroom, fireplace and patio doors that led out to a huge deck with a hot tub. The living room spaces were perfect for us all to gather around the fireplace and I absolutely love that there are two kitchens! We did a lot of baking and cooking for the holiday and we utilized both well-equipped spaces. There was another master with fireplace in the basement as well as a queen bedroom with a set of bunk beds. A full bathroom with sauna was in the basement as well. The laundry room on the first floor was great. The upstairs had a large game room, bedroom with 2 queens, and 3 other bedrooms with queen beds. There was a lot of wood available for both fireplaces and the outside fire ring-we did end up having to buy a couple of bundles too but that's because we had almost a constant fire going. The boats and items available in the boathouse were fantastic-we've had to pay extra or none at all came with other houses we've been to or looked at staying at.
Here are the negatives (and they obviously weren't bad enough for me to rate this less than 5 stars OR to prevent us from going again) 1. The stairs are a bit slippery (especially for older folks) 2. The hot water in the master bathroom (shower, faucets and jacuzzi) smelled like rotten eggs.
We would totally stay here again and hope to, we recommend it highly to everyone. It was clean, spacious, beautiful, peaceful, and we made a lot of amazing memories at this wonderful place!
