Very clean, well appointed, fabulous view and privacy, and even sharp kitchen knives!

Absolutely perfect!

This place is so much more beautiful and peaceful than pictures could ever do it justice. It was the perfect getaway for my husband and I who were visiting family in Seattle and wanted a couple days away together to explore Olympic National Park for my birthday. The house itself has everything you could need and feels so cozy and peaceful. The views right from your livingroom or front door are out of this world -- it made it hard to want to leave. Mikey the dog was an old gentle soul who became our pal while we were there -- he mostly kept to the main house but we would call for him whenever we saw him and he was happy to hang out with us so we could smother him with hugs. We loved coming home after hiking all day to enjoy a fire outside and gaze up at the stars. Location-wise, this house is perfect for exploring the park, while being just up a winding mountain road from the main town of Port Angeles with everything you could need in terms of restaurants, groceries, etc. We got in later on Sunday so went into town to get some drinks and dinner at NextDoor pub and they had live music that was perfect. We were able to wake up early the next day and drive just a couple hours over to see Ruby Beach at low tide, the Ho Rain Forest trails including the Hall of Mosses, and finish off the day with dinner and drinks at Crescent Lake Lodge. It was the perfect itinerary and we still got home early enough to hang out at the house by the fire. Our final morning we drove up to do the Hurricane Ridge Trail, which is really close to the house (the views look right at it) and it was the most breathtaking hike of our lives. For those who feel like sticking close to home, it sounds like there are also some amazing hikes right on the property that we didn't have time to check out. Everyone was friendly and helpful and we really loved staying here -- it was nourishing to the soul. Would highly recommend it to either a family or a couple looking for a romantic and peaceful getaway. Hope we can come back someday!

Immaculate home, beautiful property, well-located for all of the Olympics' delights

This is a new, spotlessly maintained property, with everything you need. The roomy living room/kitchen/dining area with windows looking out to the surrounding woods is a special treat. This is certainly a premium property. We used it as a very convenient base to go on day trips to Hurricane Ridge (less than an hour), Crescent Lake (1/2 hour), Neah Bay, Hoh Rain Forest, and Sol Duc. Nearby Salt Creek Park is not as famous, but has beautiful coasts and hiking. Differing from many VRBO properties, including my own, is a high cleaning fee along with separate booking fee which bumped up the effective per day rate for a long weekend by 50% compared to the advertised rate. Still worth it if you have 5-6 people, as we did, but brace yourself.
