For our family's first trip to St Thomas, we struck gold with this condo. When we booked the time, we received a package in the mail from Mr. Thomas that provided directions on getting there from the airport, where the closest store was, phone numbers for taxis, and general information about the area that proved to be extremely helpful when we arrived. The condo itself was in immaculate shape, with a view from the balcony that was postcard perfect. Everything we needed such as pots and pans were provided, as well as beach towels and even a few folding chairs for us to bring to the beach.
We chose to rent a car, which if you're like us and want to explore the islands, I do recommend. But be forewarned, driving on the left does take some getting use to, as does the pace in which some folks navigate the incredibly hilly and winding roads, but it was better than having to wait for taxis.
The people of St Thomas were extremely warm and friendly, with a quick smile and a "Good Morning, or Good Afternoon greeting.
The condo's proximity to the Bolongo Beach Resort proved to be very convenient. We took advantage of the beach bar at Iggy's on more than one occasion. I highly suggest going on Wednesday, when they offer an all you can eat buffet and some fantastic albeit unusual live entertainment.
We spent alot of our time snorkeling right off the beach in front of the condo, where we were fortunate enough to swim with some sea turtles. However, if swimming in the ocean is a little daunting, the condo does offer a lovely pool area, with umbrellas and deck chairs that allows you to catch all the rays you can, and cool off periodically when needed.
All too soon, our time was done and we had to come home. But we left with great memories, a nice tan, and plans to one day return to St Thomas, and this condo.
