This was my family's first trip off of the continental U.S. We had a WONDERFUL time! One week is not long enough. It was made even better by having this beautiful villa to call home while we were there. Villa Ocean Kaleidoscope is a clean, well appointed, comfortable and beautifully decorated home that we were lucky to have. Everything that you could think of is already there. Linens, beach chairs and towels, cookware and utensils, books and games, maps of the area, t.v.'s, and stereo system! We really loved the honor system liquor cabinet (if you drink more than half of a bottle, replace it with another bottle of your choice). Also, there was an assortment of sunscreen, insect repellent, and body washes that are in the master bath in case you forgot or run out. It was also very nice to have dish detergent, garbage bags, plastic cups and cutlery, aluminum foil, paper towel and ziploc baggies already there. There is also a wide variety of spices, oils, condiments, etc. so that you don't have to buy all of those things. Gail and Curlson really know how to make you feel completely welcomed. The villa is very spacious with a large open living, dining, kitchen. A large walk-in closet that could double as a sleeping area with a roll away bed. The cottage downstairs is equally appointed with a comfortable queen bed, kitchenette, and large bathroom/closet. There is a patio off of the cottage with a table and chairs also a large deck and patio area upstairs off of the main villa with 3 outdoor dining sets. The deck has a gas grill, pool with loungers, and hot tub. Washer and dryer are outside in a convenient closet next to the outdoor shower. We went to Red Hook and enjoyed Duffy's Love Shack on Ladies' Night Wednesday, we ate at Latitude 18 restaurant. Both were great, but we rather enjoyed cooking in and saving that money. We shopped for groceries at Food Center, Moe's and Plaza Extra Tutu Mall. We found that Plaza Extra was the most economical with the best selection. We enjoyed beaches most everyday, Sapphire, Coki, Secret Harbor, Magens Bay. Magens and Secret Harbor were the prettiest in our opinion. We also enjoyed catching the Safari Bus and going into Charlotte Amalie for some shopping. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking to visit St. Thomas, it is conveniently located, very comfortable, and very reasonable as far as price. One final note, you must rent a car to truly experience the entire island!

                                  Great Christmas Getaway!!

Jared and Angie were great hosts. The suite was much larger than expected, it was well appointed, clean very nice and cozy. They had a "Island Christmas Tree" waiting for us and made us feel at home. There was plenty of room for our family of four. The pool and decks were very nice. It was a so relaxing to go away for Christmas and just enjoy time together and Jared and Angie's home was a perfect place to be! It a bit of a trip off the main road but tucked away and private. Well worth the trip!!

                                  Spectacular stay!

We enjoyed this magical place for 6 days and could not have been happier!! Yes, the drive up the house caused some nail-biting but it's a piece of cake in a 4WD vehicle. Stunning views and wonderful accommodations! Jared made sure we were all taken care of and we wanted for nothing..... every amenity was taken care of. Everything was so clean and well maintained....just be careful going down the steps to the hot tub from the upper level outside....just a wee tad slippery! Every morning, we made it our ritual to count how many iguanas would could find in the trees and cacti off of the deck - and hermit crabs!! =) We visited so many bars and eating establishments and were sure to cook many meals in the condo as well - anything we needed was right there. The Starfish Market isn't too far away, but for better prices, we'd recommend the St. John's Market which is a bit closer and much cheaper. We enjoyed the Beach Bar and "Victor's" in the parking lot of the ferries that go over to BVI.... everyone is so nice, friendly and accommodating on this island. Just remember though....everything goes on "island time" so don't be in any hurry! Be sure to see the Annandale Plantation and take the walk to Waterlemon Bay, Trunk Bay and Cinnamon Bay.... best time of our lives and spent with such special friends...and the wedding of my bestie to the love of her life to boot!! Woo hoo!
