this is a beautiful little cabin, very nicely furnished and exquisite attention to detail & needs of the guests. We loved campfire and roasting marshmallows in yard, making dinners and relaxing on front porch or indoor couch. Beds were very comfortable and all linens very clean and well cared for. We highly recommend this cabin and the great hospitality of Terry & Lori Debbie & Tim

                Excellent rental

We just spent a weekend at this cozy house less than 15 mins from Stratton Mtn. There was plenty of space for us (2 adults and 3 kids), the kitchen was stocked well with utensils and cookware, the beds and bedding were REALLY comfortable and cozy, and the hot tub was perfect for our needs. Sid and Wendy did an excellent job of leaving very specific instructions on how to operate everything - hot tub, TV's, etc. Overall a very user friendly, cozy, Vermont experience and we hope to stay here again!

                One of A Kind Experience!

I was looking for a remote, spacious & stimulating location to host our very first family reunion / vacation. Grahall Castle was all of this, and more! What an amazing, unique property! It is truly on the tippity TOP of Hawk Mountain. Extremely private and so peaceful. The grounds are fabulous. Sprawling lawns, 2 ponds for fishing, swimming, boating, etc. Frog catching kept our kids busy for hours on end. We had camp fires every night. Lots of great family time. There's even a swing set for younger children. The house was spotless and the kitchen was well stocked to feed a small army! Furniture & appliances were well maintained. There's plenty of room to spread out and find a quiet corner or balcony to read a book or just enjoy the magnificent views. Oh my goodness, the VIEWS! The deck off the 3rd floor master is the best seat in the house! We saw the brightest and most plentiful blanket of stars every night, and breathtaking mountain ranges during the day. Especially in the early morning when the clouds were still nestled between the peaks. We had a handicapped family member with us for the week and we were able to maneuver her wheelchair into the house and around the main floor with little issue. She was limited to the main floor, but it's quite large and spacious so she moved around with ease. If you are considering renting Grahall and have a family member with limited mobility, just reach out to Elizabeth and she will be happy to talk through your concerns. She was very helpful when I was trying to decide if this property would meet our unique needs. I think I might have won the prize for the most questions asked by a potential renter!:) The house has Wi-Fi but not all cell services work on the mountain top. We found that Verizon & ATT had the best track record. Before you reach the property, there is about a 2 ml stretch of dirt road that is very rural with a pretty steep incline. There's no cell service for the last few miles until you reach the top of the mountain so its safer to arrive during daylight hours to get a lay of the land. Have one person scout out the property early then set up a meeting point down in the town, then have any additional guests follow you up. We only had two issues during our stay. Both minor and both addressed the very same day! From my very first inquiry sent, through our one week stay at Grahall, Elizabeth was very responsive and pleasant to work with. My family is already asking when we can return! :)
