My husband and I spent three weeks in August at this fabulous condo. (Two of our adult children also joined us for a week.) The photographs hardly do it justice! A cathedral ceiling and floor to ceiling windows in the great room create a bright and spacious ambiance. Each bedroom is on its own level. On the lower level there's a queen bedroom and bathroom, plus a family room that walks out to the hot tub. On the main level there's a bunk room with a bathroom nearby. There's a twin bedroom in the private loft area and a master suite on the upper level. The entire condo is beautifully decorated, including luxurious bedding in all the bedrooms, fluffy towels in the bathrooms and extra-large towels for the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed, and Andrea, the owner, even brought us a grill so that we could cook outdoors.
Stratton Village, which is filled with cute shops and restaurants, is a quick 15-minute walk down the mountain. We enjoyed hiking on the mountain and around Lake Lowell, Emerald Lake and Grout Pond. We also enjoyed the restaurants and outlets in Manchester. But the best part was the gorgeous summer weather with its star-filled skies at night--perfect for watching the Perseid Meteor showers. I can only imagine how beautiful it must be when the mountain is covered with snow! But for us, Stratton Mountain was a fabulous respite from the Florida heat...thanks, Andrea, for making our stay so memorable! We hope to return next year.
