                          A great place to stay!

                          5 of 5
This is a cozy little cabin that is a great alternative to the mediocre hotels/motels in the area (The Equinox excepted). The owners are friendly and the grounds are well maintained. Everything you need for your stay is there, including Lori's welcome basket of muffins, cheese, crackers, popcorn, and cookies! Very nice! The place is as described and pictured in the listing. Everything was clean and in its place. Everything worked as it should. The porch rockers are very comfortable and the backyard picnic table, fire pit, BBQ, and hammock were first rate. It was very nice having our own outside space to enjoy. The only challenges are the ladder-like stairs to the loft. They take some getting used to but are not that hard once you use them a couple of times. People with difficulty maneuvering and small children should not be using them. One advantage for us was the ability to store our horse trailer on the property. The VSF does not provide on-site storage so this is a real benefit. Thanks to Terry and Lori for making this space available. The General Store across the street is great-convienience items and a decent deli are a short walk away. We cooked some simple meals and found the convection microwave and 2 burner stovetop to be adequate for our needs. The BBQ outside is large and cooks very well. This was a great space for my wife, daughter, and I to stay for our week at the horse show. I would recommend it to anyone! We will definitely be returning!

very picturesque location by lake Champlain . Cabin is cozy , clean and equipped with most everything you need . Enjoyed kayaking out on the lake with supplied boat . Owners very friendly and helpful . Plenty of good hiking trails and eating establishments within reasonable driving distance . My wife and I really enjoyed our stay . We will be back again .

                          Relaxing, Cozy, Comfortable

                          4 of 5
We spent a week at the Bayview Farm camp Gabriel. Set high above the lake, the cottage is rustic, but comfortable. The bedroom I used had a new wonderfully firm mattress, and the kitchen was sufficient for our needs. The absolute best part of the experience is the screen porch and deck where you can sit in the evenings with a glass of wine and watch the sun set over the Adirondacks. There is not direct lake access from the cottage, but there is a grassy beach just a (very) short walk down the road with kayaks and a canoe available for use. The lake levels are low right now, making the cove pretty still and a little weedy. Because of this we opted to swim in nearby Kingsland Bay State Park, but the beach view is a perfect one. The cottage does sit among several others, but we always felt like we had plenty of privacy. I slept incredibly well with cross breezes from the open windows. We felt so safe, we never locked up the cottage. There is web-enabled television and good wifi, but we never turned on the TV, opting instead to relax and read in the eves. If you do want games or books, you will need to bring them. The cottage does not have a supply. The proprietor is very friendly and helpful. The cottage is situated minutes from Shelburne and Vergennes, and just a short drive to Burlington and Middlebury. It was a great rental for the price. Peaceful, relaxing, and cozy.
