Great time on our family ski trip to Okemo

Great place to stay and great location. Markets within 10-15 minutes, ski mountains less than a half hour away. Everything was clean and the owner was very accessible and helpful. Recommend for anyone who wants a great little VT vacation.

Charming farmhouse with spectacular mountain views

          5 of 5
Our family spent 10 days in July in this lovely spot. What a wonderful stay. The house sits on 60+ acres of fields overlooking the mountains, with glorious sunsets and sunrises. The flowers and garden were beautifully kept and in full bloom while we were there. There is a grill and lawn furniture, easy to curl up with a book and listen to the crickets for hours. The house itself is completely charming. It is a very old farmhouse, with lovely proportions and all of the original charm. The bedrooms all have multiple windows, and a good breeze at night. The bathrooms and kitchen are simple and functional, and the kitchen very well stocked. We had no trouble finding everything we needed to cook. There is a ton to do in the area - hiking, swimming, adventures, etc. And lots of wonderful restaurants nearby. While the house sits right on a road, as old houses generally do, it feels very private and is very quiet. The back goes on for miles, and couldn't be more peaceful. The owners were so easy to work with and provided tons of useful information about the house and the area. While we were there in summer, we can imagine it is very well set up for winter ski weekends, with lots of room for gear in the garage, and a short trip to multiple mountains. We very much hope to be back soon!
