Everything about this home is simply, outstanding!
Originally, we'd hoped to share our vacation stay with another family but...it wound up being my husband and me. So, the home is well-suited for many more but it was also generously comfortable for the two of us.
The view of Elmore mountain and the lake is lovely; just lovely. The location of the home suggests a great deal of privacy. Where other homes may abut one another along the lake, Bruce and Lucille's retains quite a bit of privacy. The grounds are beautiful and the stone steps leading to the dock are works of masonry art.
Personally, I loved the floor plan, the decor, and the more substantial elements to the home design but I realize we're not on a tour to buy a home but to stay in one for a brief period of time (all too brief, if I may add). Nonetheless, I cannot overstate the loveliness of this home.
The Camp Road is peacefully walkable (even with new house construction underway) with friendly encounters along the way.
An easy walk to The Elmore Store, which does a nice job of providing necessities as well as a venue for local, fresh foods, bakery, pizza (Elmore Fire Tower Pizza), made-to-order sandwiches and a fine selection of beer. Kathy and Warren Miller have done a remarkable job with the Store.
This location for my husband and me was ideal. Friends and family in Morrisville were only a stone's throw away. Access to the State Park gave us a chance to reacquaint ourselves with the trail up the mountain (word of advice -- don't follow the Catamount X country ski markers ;-) ).
Everything is well-provided in this home. Everything! And everything is in tip-top condition. We lacked for nothing; we wanted for nothing. Did I say "perfect" yet?
If Bruce and Lucille continue to permit others to share their home, I shall certainly plan to return again. Can't wait! [I'm missing the mountain/lake view alongside my morning coffee.]
