      Charming and Cozy

      5 of 5
The "Classic Carriage Barn" captured the essence of northwest Vermont. The barn was meticulous and cozy. The details of the decorating from the water pump style faucet, Vermont maps, as well as the cozy furnishings had myself and my friends reluctant to leave at the end of the stay. We enjoyed a relaxing retreat with amazing sunsets on the deck and the perfect atmosphere for great dinners, conversations, and laughter. It provided the perfect back-drop for one of my top 10 weekend retreats.

      Kid Friendly Relaxation

      5 of 5
We and some friends stayed at the Fielder Farm the first week of August. There were four adults and four children (ages 5-10). The property is perfect for being outside or relaxing inside with the many books, games or puzzles that are available in the living area. The kids spent much of their time either swimming in the pond or catching frogs and newts! (Yes, we put them back.) They also thoroughly enjoyed their "own" space in the loft bedroom for playing and reading. The property is an easy distance from either Burlington/Lake Champlain or Waterbury/Stowe and close to great hiking including the wonderful (and difficult) Camel's Hump trail practically right next door! This was our second time staying here, and we would certainly stay again if we are back in Vermont.
