                    Perfect

                    5 of 5
This property is exactly as advertised, and my family could not have been happier with the experience. It was a perfect vacation for us (myself, wife, 4 year old son, 9 and 16 year old daughters). Every one of us enjoyed the kayaks, the peddle boat, and the entire house in general. There was more than enough room for all of us. We loved the drive down the dirt road to get to the house and greatly appreciated its seclusion. At the same time, there is a 24 hour Walmart, a Rite Aid, Dunkin Donuts, McDonald's, and a Subway 5-10 minutes away from the house. We did a pretty large food shop at Walmart the day we arrived and ate the majority of our meals at the house. We enjoyed making breakfast each morning and doing a lot of BBQing. It was a world of difference from most vacations where we've had to eat out for every meal and always seemed to rush from one thing to the other. We took a few awesome day trips including Ausable Chasm, the Ben and Jerry's Factory in Vermont, and Lake George Village. (If going into Vermont for the day, we suggest driving over the bridge and returning on the ferry, or vica versa...two different scenic routes). The owners were extremely easy to work with and also very responsive to all questions and concerns before, during and after our stay. If there was anything at all that wasn't perfect, it was the fishing from the dock. I'm sure it is because of the time of year I went, but the vegetation and growth so close to the shore made for nothing but the hooks getting caught up and dragging in all the weeds. We did catch a bunch of fish, though, once we took the poles with us out on the kayaks and peddle boat, past all the growth. The vast majority of things we did and places we went were all from the list of suggestions provided by the owners once you book with them. Nothing disappointed. It was all fantastic. So, we had an amazing, relaxing, and much needed vacation that provided an abundance of family time and allowed us to all really take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and really enjoy eath other. We look forward to staying here again in the future. - The McGowan's from Long Island, NY

                    Excellent condition, wonderful area

                    5 of 5
I stayed here with my wife and our 2 1/2 year old son on a family vacation. On our arrival, the whole place was clean and in perfect condition. While the owners did not meet us there, they gave perfect directions on getting to the house and getting inside that we had no trouble. They were also very responsive by text message to any additional questions we had. The property has a nice size yard, perfect for a toddler to run around in. There was a hammock there was well. Inside, the kitchen was modern and in perfect condition. They had coffee, tea and hot chocolate available for our use. There was a large, screened in porch, where we ate, barbecued and my wife and I hung out after our son went to bed. There was a single master bedroom with its own bathroom (with shampoo and soap provided) where our son slept. My wife and I slept in the loft so my son would not be disturbed when he slept. There were 2 double beds that were fine. There is no air conditioning, but there were ceiling fans as well as other fans and we were actually comfortable despite temperatures outside being in the mid to high 80s. Other amenities included a washing machine and dryer, dishwasher and dishes. The house itself is very secluded. We heard the neighbors at times but was not disturbing at all. Mostly you hear the birds, wind rustling in the trees and an occasional car. It was very pleasant. Within a 5 minute drive is the town of Hague. We spent most of our time at the hague town park. It is a small park on the lake, with a sandy beach and a lifeguard. Even at the busiest of times it was not crowded at all and was very uncomfortable. The lake was shallow and pleasant. There was also a playground for my son to enjoy. There is a general store in the town where you can get basic food items. The nearest full grocery store is at a wal mart 20 minutes from the house. There are several hikes within a 15 minute drive of the house as well. Some are kid-friendly as well, we did one that was really great. One day we did a 1 hour drive to do berry picking. We did not go to lake george village but it is around a 45 minute drive so was close enough that we could go if the weather is bad. Overall we had a fantastic time and would definitely choose the property and area again. We highly recommend it.

                    Lovely House.

                    5 of 5
We spent more than a weekend in this lovely house located in the middle of the woods. Very convenient location , less then 2 mi. down hill to reach the public beach and cozy village restaurants. Even though it was the peak of summer we didn't had the need to turn on the AC because the house it self had a nice breeze if you just let the bedroom windows open. We really loved every moment in it.. specially at night time when we roasted Sh-mores in the back of the house at the fire pit. Would love to visit this house again in the future.
