                  An excellent getaway

                  4 of 5
My wife and I and our two children stayed here last summer. While the street is indeed busy - other comments about the noise from the big rigs is spot on - the location more than made up for that. Everything about Joe's Pond was fantastic, from the swimming to the kayaking (we brought our own) to the view itself. If you go near July 4, you'll be treated to fireworks. Cell phone service was spotty, which turned out to be a plus, and there's plenty to do and see nearby if you have young kids. While we want to explore other parts of the state, this is a spot I'll eventually revisit.

Charming and beautifully restored farm house.

Danville was a great place for snowmobiling. The farm house was very spacious and clean. Would definitely come back.

The best place to be in Glover, VT

The fall colors were outstanding, the mornings on the Daniels Pond brought peace to the inner soul. None of this could have been possible without the great hosts, Ed and Krisiti Bride. We were made welcome the minute we arrived to include the time we left some 46 days later. The cottage felt like home to us from day one. The beds slept great, the kitchen well equiped with all needed pots and pans. The view of the pond from the porch and boat trips around the pond, using their boats, and visiting the beaver trails and beaver house was memories that will last forever. Watching the two grown loons and the young one feed during the day was a joy. We loved it (the cottage and Hosts) so much that we will return in Nov, from Texas, to spend the winter in VT (four months) at this cottage. We were a short drive from Canada, local stores, restaurants, church, and any activity that we might be interested in seeing or doing. Ed and Krisiti cared about us as humans, not just a renter.
