I cannot thank you all enough for the best birthday ever! This year I have
traveled many places and done many things in my #yearoffifty. As the actual
day approached, I realized what I wanted most was all my family under one
roof in beautiful nature. Sundance was the perfect choice for that and
Stewart Mountain Lodging the perfect host to coordinate.
My 4 kids range in age from 14 to 32 and two of them are married,
additionally I have 4 grandkids and the two youngest are 3 months and 14
months. That is a tough group to please but we all agreed this was our
favorite of all the places we have vacationed to!
River Pines was amazing and actually exceeded all of our expectations. From
the moment we arrived Friday night with the beautiful white lights lighting
up the house to the delicious red velvet cake and card left so thoughtfully
by Stewart Mountain Lodging we were all in heaven. The house was amazing,
we loved the stream, the zip line, the swing, hiking out the back door -
everything was perfection. Bedrooms slept everyone comfortably, games,
movies and just great family memories all around.
The one event I arranged was to view the Great Basin Wildlife release a wild
bird of prey back into the wild. We had no information or expectations but
loved the idea. The Great Basin crew were great, knowledgeable, patient (we
had a slew of toddlers & young children visit for the event). They brought
an eagle owl (whose mom was actually in Harry Potter) and had me do the
release of the beautiful horned owl, surprise! A once in lifetime
opportunity and I will never forget it.
Thank you to the River Pines owners, Vicki, Aly, Stewart Mountain Lodging
and the Great Basin Wildlife crew for making my 50th magical and memorable
in every way! We will all be back:)
