        Almost perfect

        4 of 5
This spacious, beautiful new home made a great base for hiking adventures in the Escalante / Grand Staircase canyon country. Pros; a fine bathroom with separate shower and tub and double sinks; fine kitchen with well-stocked pantry (very helpful because Boulder has no real grocery store), and a mudroom/utility room to keep out the red dirt. A family with older kids, or two couples, would like the layout; the master bedroom is isolated from the other bedrooms, which have their own bathroom. Cons; expensive, probably because there are few competing rentals in Boulder UT. Hard to find, due to poor instructions. No instructions on how to use the appliances. We had problems with the gas fireplace and washing machine.

        Fantastic rustic lux adventure

        5 of 5
We stayed at the barn for a week at the end of September with my in-laws and our two year old daughter. Everyone had a wonderful time both hanging around the barn and ranch as well as exploring Capitol Reef and Boulder area. The baby loved the horses outside and climbing on all the comfy sofas and couches in the barn. We cooked at the kitchen and sat out looking at the stars at night. Decor of the place is rustic lux Western and very comfortable with lots of areas to lounge. Not child proofed per se but not hard to watch the baby with the open floor plan. The spiral stair case maybe a bit of a challenge for those not in good shape but was not a problem for us at all. There is also a bed downstairs if elderly and cannot climb the stairs. The Dietleins are fantastic hosts and very responsive to our questions. Looking forward to visiting again in the future.
