Great stay and very helpful host

5 of 5
The house is very comfortable and fits large family or group of friends. The location is very convenient and the surrounding area is great for walks and relaxation. We had great time and Justine is an amazing host. She was very helpful and informative.

Beautiful Farm cottage near heart of Oxford

5 of 5
My teenaged daughter and I spent a week here in December. It was beautiful to be in the cold foggy countryside, in the heart of a working farm on the banks of the Thames, yet only a short walk across Port Meadow from the heart of Oxford. We didn't have a car and didn't need one. I walked her to her school in town past ponies, runners, and waterfowl every day. Rachel and her family were perfect hosts. She even got a floor lamp for me so I could read better by the fire in the evenings. If you're looking for slick and fancy, this isn't it. But it's authentic and clean and cozy, with a well-equipped kitchen and everything you need to go back in time, with the Thames path on your doorstep, chickens in the yard, and families living on houseboats as your neighbors. One note: if you're over 6'2", be prepared to duck your head to get from room to room! Like most traditional cottages, the doorways are low. We can't wait to come back here in the spring or summer.
