Perfectly peaceful and amazing!

5 of 5
We stayed at Sunset Villa for two nights to celebrate our 3rd anniversary. It was perfect in every way! The location is just a bit out of town, under 10 minutes, but that's what it takes to get that view. I suggest dropping a "pin" on your Apple Map once you get there so it's easier to navigate your return. Upon arrival the villa was tidy, the hot tub was ready and it was beautifully decorated. We found board games in a closet, throw blankets in the bedroom chest, extra towels for the hot tub and enough coffee for each morning. There are a few guest books with comments from previous tenants along with helpful tips. The weather was absolutely perfect for our stay and allowed us to enjoy the hot tub and gas fireplace each evening. The bed and bedding was oh so comfy and there was plenty of room for our things. During our stay we dined at The Leaning Pear and were unimpressed. My husband had to ask for gravy and salt and pepper for his meatloaf and still left some on his plate. I've never seen him do that before. The location and setting is fabulous and I know it's been ranked #1 so I suppose we will give it another try when we return. During our stay, we went to Austin for the afternoon and were so anxious to return to the villa that we ran in to HEB, grabbed sushi and made sure we were back in time for the sunset! We did not cook there but certainly could have. Next time we will take advantage of the grill! I highly recommend Sunset Villa if you are looking for a romantic getaway! I know we will return whenever we need to unwind and recharge. Thanks for offering such wonderful accommodations in the most perfect setting! Mark and Renee

Beautiful, Relaxing Weekend Getaway

5 of 5
My friend and I stayed in the Emma villa for a weekend wedding in Dripping Springs. The villa was very clean, updated, and exactly what we needed. The grounds of D6 Retreat was very welcoming and relaxing including a fire pit, pool, hammocks, and hiking trails. It was a short drive the fantastic wineries and the famous Salt Lick BBQ spot! This was the perfect spot for our relaxing getaway. My only suggestion is to bring your own coffee because although a coffee maker was present along with a few other welcome snacks, coffee was not included. We will definitely be back again!

Good but could have been great!

This house is amazing. The pictures don't exactly do it justice. We did have a few issues when we first arrived. First, all of the lights in the kitchen and the microwave would not work, the guest house hot water was ice cold comma and the water pressure in the main house was horrible. I voiced my concerns that night and April was a very nice to let me know that someone would be out the following day to attend to the issues. Someone did come out the next day and fixed all the issues. From there our Labor Day was a success and the house was beautiful. The views were spectacular. I would definitely go back.
