My family and I absolutely loved the Sea Shell Shack! So cute and cozy!

I surprised my husband and our teenage son with a quick weekend getaway from Houston. I wanted to treat my husband, who has been working in the harsh winter winds in Alaska, and this charming beach house was just what he/we needed. I knew that Wi-Fi and a grill would be the two main staples my guys needed and Nicki was very quick to respond yes to my inquiry. We have never stayed in Surfside (always Galveston) and didn't know what to fully expect. Perfectly located right by the San Luis Pass bridge, park and bay, as well as the gulf shore, we had an expansive panoramic view of everything from the three sided deck. On the fourth side was a nice grill, that we ended up not using and went out for fresh local seafood instead... The decor was so beachy and cute, without being too kitschy. Even the hard to impress boys commented on how nice the colors and everything looked, their favorites being the giant shark head and ceramic octopus, ha. The pictures just don't do it all justice... The bedrooms are comfortable with very nice bedding and plenty of extra pillows. The bathroom is overstocked with anything you need and may have forgotten. It does get a little warm in there, but that's to be expected in TX and there is a fan supplied to help. There were ceiling fans in every room and the AC units kept everything perfectly cool, but my husband's favorite part was to open the windows and enjoy the amazing cross breeze and fresh air. We even enjoyed a spectacular lightning show on our first night... All in all, we had an amazing time and can't wait to return. Thanks again for everything, Nicki!! 😀
