Excellent Reunion

5 of 5
I booked the Cliffside Lodge for a reunion with my high school and college buddies for the first weekend in October, 2016. Wow - what a great set up. The inside of the lodge is just incredible, probably nicer than most of our own homes. It had great cooking facilities and a big table that accommodated us for all we did (mostly card playing). The media room was a big hit, and we got a kick of watching college football on the screen. Several were considering which room at home they could outfit similarly. The TV package included everything we wanted, and the furnished WIFI was a great perk too. The trip down to the water is a bit a hike, and we did not bring any bait with which to fish. The outdoor seating - both porch and gazebo - were excellent (though bring some mosquito repellent). The sleeping arrangements were convenient to seven single guys, as were the bathrooms (nice tub, though we never used it). The view of the lake was incredible, and the provided directions to the property were spot on. All in all, we loved it. The other guys in my party were VERY impressed. I was a hero for booking it. Though I did not meet Tracy, Missy was very easy to work with and they gave easy to follow directions on how to leave the lodge. Again, while we did not use them, my wife would have loved the washer and dryer if we have been here with the family. This is an excellent spot for a small family reunion. I would re-book this in a heartbeat! Pack well, as the nearest grocery store is a ways off! Very nice and peaceful, but not too isolated. James T. - Marshall, TX

6 of us spent the weekend here and had so much fun. Home is well decorated and appears small but was plenty roomy for us. Cell service is minimal so may have problem navigating with your phone. We canoed, noodled and enjoyed a huge campfire. We took quick trip to Natchitoches for the Festival of Lights and saw the Steel Magnolia home. We hope to return for another great weekend. Owner was very prompt with responses and helpful.
