My wife and I stayed for the first time in Georgetown, Texas, and our week there could not have been better.
First, the one bedroom apartment we stayed in above the owners unattached garage was absolutely beautiful. It is made for only two people, and we loved the way the rooms were designed, the furniture was chosen and arranged, the apartment was decorated and all the items that were provided for our stay. We had everything in the apartment where we could cook a complete meal and eat it at a table for two. The owners even provided a bottle of wine for us to share during our meal. In back of the garage is an in ground swimming pool that is surrounded by a seven foot fence for our privacy. We could use the pool anytime we wanted to and did. Also at the pool, a large gas grill is provided for our use and a private covered table and chairs is just off the pool for us to enjoy snacks or a complete meal...we used it for both!
Second, we very much enjoyed the city of Georgetown. It is rich in history, the arts, biking and walking trails, outstanding golf options, and the best and most beautiful town square we have ever seen. We were about six blocks from the square and spent lots of time walking there to enjoy the shops, breweries, antique stores, visitors center and very diverse options for interesting restaurants. The food in every restaurant we visited was delicious, and the people serving were welcoming and very friendly. We also traveled from our apartment to visit the LBJ Ranch in Johnson City, and the LBJ Library in Austin. We loved everything about those two experiences.
In closing, we honestly don't think we could have chosen a better place to stay in Texas, and hope to go back to Georgetown again.
