Yes, the listing description is correct, and the home is clean and well maintained ... with excellent "customer service" by the owner (however, we don't feel like a "customer" ... more like guests and friends). Robert and Britney are the best ... always friendly and helpful. We love the dogs who wait for a pat, feeding the chickens, ducks, horses and donkey (only if you want to, and we do).
As "city folk" Bostonians going to this ranch in Lockhart TX, we look forward to our visit each year; and, March of 2018 will be our 4th year. Peaceful, big sky country, and a great starting point to drive to Austin, San Antonio, and Hill Country wineries and Fredericksburg ... maybe Mustang Is south of Houston for an overnight. Favorite restaurant is Saltgrass in San Marcos on the deck over the river.
Farm fresh eggs with bright yellow yokes are a bonus; and, Lockhart is the BBQ capital of TX ... but Robert's brisket is the best!
This property, and the owners have become a special part of our lives ... wish we were there right now, but will need to wait until next March.
PS - Did I mention the baby chicks and ducks they helped our Austin granddaughters hold? Very special!
