      Cozy cabin

      4 of 5
The Crazy Horse Cabin has everything you need for a nice relaxing visit. Very clean and overall looks very new. It was below freezing temps outside but we stayed nice and warm inside. Wish it had been warmer outside so we could have enjoyed the beautiful creek. Not really a complaint but we prefer a very firm bed and this one was pretty soft. I definitely would recommend the property if one wants to disconnect and enjoy the beautiful scenery all around! Thanks Martin's for sharing your place.

      Quiet, Quaint, Getaway

This was our second Thanksgiving at the Stronghold Cabin "Red Cloud". Patricia and Jon are very welcoming and accommodating. The cabin is right on a little river stream...the water is crystal clear and beautiful. If you come in the Fall, you will spot deer and wild turkey on the property. They accept pets, (small fee), so we really appreciate traveling with our babies. The cabin is small but has everything you need to cook and enjoy a lot of relaxation. I would recommend bringing a couple small reclining camp chairs to sit in the living room if you want to watch a DVD, or you will have to lounge on the bed. The bed is a full size, but my husband and I had to sleep really close. We are used to a King, but it really isn't a big deal. There's a lot to do in Bandera and the surrounding area. We kayaked down the river at the Bandera city park, hiked at the nearby Hill Country State Natural Area (10 miles away). Take a walk downtown and check out all the little shops and restaurants. The Old Forge has great steaks !!! Patricia and Jon live in a house just next door but you'd never know they were there....they let you have all the privacy you need. Oh, don't forget to bring you swimsuit and sit the hot tub on the back porch! We love this place.
