          Great Chalet in Amazing Location

          5 of 5
During our stay here I spent most of my free time on the balcony taking pictures, Some of the pictures taken there received comments from Facebook friends like "I'm jealous", "is this a postcard?" "There are truly beautiful places on earth." and "That's amazing." The setting is amazing. The Chalet sits above Jaun and looks out over the small village and the mountains in the distance. You even see the town's waterfall from the balcony. The Chalet is clean, comfortable and well equipped. There are two units there with separate entrances, the rental is the lower unit (the upper is the owner's vacation home and it is not rented out.) It is quiet and private. The local caretaker and his family are dairy farmers and wonderful people. The owners live in German and are very kind folks. Jaun has everything you would need, including a market and bank. Unless you are really flexible and good with local bus service, you will need a car. Easy drive to incredible alp scenery, Lake Geneva, castles, vineyards, chocolate factory and Gruyere cheese factory. Hiking galore including walking trails to the next village. It is right on the cusp of Swiss German and French speaking Switzerland, (Juan is on the German side, the next village over speaks mostly French.) I would highly recommend this Chalet to anyone who wants to relax and see a very special area of Switzerland.
