Lovely apartment, beautiful farm, wonderful people

          5 of 5
This was our first stop of our two week stay in Europe in celebration of our 20th wedding anniversary. My husband and I, and our two children, had a wonderful time spending four nights here. Elisabeth and Fritz are warm, welcoming hosts (the Kambly cookies left on our pillows made us all smile!), allowing us all to watch as they work the farm. They even allowed our littlest one to help feed the hens. Their eggs were delicious and fueled us for the wonderful hike we took, right from the farm, to the soundtrack of cowbells. The apartment was perfect for us. We had plenty of space to relax, eat together, and sleep soundly. It was great to have a kitchen and washing machine. The farm, high in the hills, is stunning, and surrounded by the beauty of the Alps. We ate at a terrific restaurant in Trub, twice, because it was so delicious - Landgasthof Sternen. We took one trip to Interlaken, which was beautiful, and visited St. Beatus Caves, legend says it was a dragon's lair. We were going to do another roadtrip to Lucerne, but the farm and its surroundings were too beautiful, so we hiked and enjoyed the farm and the company of its wonderful owners and animals. We also stopped at the Kambly factory for some dessert and gifts/treats to go! We were all sad to leave the farm. I highly recommend a nice, long stay at the farm.

          Great stay!

Great place to stay with the family. We comfortably put up 2 adults and 2 teenage boys, and the apartment is so large you can also get lost there! Lots of supplies, huge kitchen with dining room, everything clean. The price is very reasonable and the hosts are very hospitable and always ready to help. Located outside of Luzern, but with easy connection by bus or train. Peaceful and quiet setting of the area, with mountains as the backdrop, was definitely a great experience. No complains or regrets.

          Down to Earth Peaceful Bliss

          5 of 5
Loved the views and the quiet peaceful environment. I stayed with my son and a colleague as we visited Lucern. We drove into Lucern each day and parked at the Transportation Museum. Although we didn't meet the owner until our last night, the facility was very clean and perfect for our stay. We arrived and my son and I played ping pong outside next to the goats with a view of the Alps. What more could a mom ask for! I'm hoping to return someday with my husband and friends. I will look for availability here first. The bike/walking trails are all around and I know my husband loves to do both. Great place for family, couples, or anyone who likes a peaceful bliss close to travel adventures. The second bedroom does require agile navigation with winding stairs. Not good for older generation or less agile adults. Awesome for kids! I'm a teacher in the states and wish I could afford to bring all my students here. Great price as well. Switzerland is very expensive. If you are traveling from another country, bring groceries.
