          Nice stay around beautiful mountains

          5 of 5
Beautiful, spacious house surrounded by the most outstanding scenery!! The majestic mountains were all around us. There is a nice master with on-suite bath and balcony with a gorgeous view. Big spacious patio for sitting and enjoying the views. Other rooms were nice and comfortable also. We enjoyed the movie room for the world soccer cup games. We enjoyed sitting on the sun porch. The kitchen is nicely equipped for easy cooking. The owners were very friendly and around to answer any questions you may have. If I were to add anything, it would be a dryer and some soaps, etc. for the bathrooms. Be very careful using their turn-around by the driveway. There is much to see and do in Engelberg. We really enjoyed Brunni. We went there several times. They have an incredible playground for kids and an alpine slide for the older ones. There is a barefoot trail around the lake at top which is a great experience. We didn't get a chance to tour the Benedictine Monastery, but it looked very impressive. The winter would be outstanding with the skiing in the surrounding areas. Taking the gondola to the top of Titlis is expensive , but well worth the visit to the glacier, ice cave, etc.

          Down to Earth Peaceful Bliss

          5 of 5
Loved the views and the quiet peaceful environment. I stayed with my son and a colleague as we visited Lucern. We drove into Lucern each day and parked at the Transportation Museum. Although we didn't meet the owner until our last night, the facility was very clean and perfect for our stay. We arrived and my son and I played ping pong outside next to the goats with a view of the Alps. What more could a mom ask for! I'm hoping to return someday with my husband and friends. I will look for availability here first. The bike/walking trails are all around and I know my husband loves to do both. Great place for family, couples, or anyone who likes a peaceful bliss close to travel adventures. The second bedroom does require agile navigation with winding stairs. Not good for older generation or less agile adults. Awesome for kids! I'm a teacher in the states and wish I could afford to bring all my students here. Great price as well. Switzerland is very expensive. If you are traveling from another country, bring groceries.

          Rustic studio, million dollar view

          4 of 5
At first the studio was a bit more rustic then our other places in Switzerland but it turned out quite comfortable and the view is world class. The host, Antoinia, is a ball of energy and there for anything you may need. Love her laugh! You could not have a better home base from which to explore the amazing area around Lake Lucern.
