                          Great Location, Awesome Spot

                          5 of 5
We normally stay in hotels when we go to Barcelona, we love them. But this time we were coming with "family". You know, those friends you love to call that? They were meeting us from Copenhagen. And the last two trips we've been on with them something was missing. That point where you defect to your own room and lose the opportunity to stay up and catch up. This time we decided to rent an apartment so we could do just that and it did not disappoint. Right in the hart of the Born on the street where the Picasso Museum is you'd think it would be crazy loud, even with the huge patio doors open it was great. We were also there when it was immensely hot but every room had AC which was a life-saver. And within a 2 minute walk in any direction you're by amazing restaurants and bars. Put your staying up shoes on they don't get going until late! ONE place right on Carrer de Montcada (where the apartment is) you MUST GO: El Xampanyet, the best authentic tapas ever! The open area was great, very bright with a huge table. It came in handy because on of our friends had to conduct some business meeting while we were there so it was perfect. Each room had a large closet. And each room had a few beds. We would have preferred one larger bed but we just pushed the two smaller ones together and it was great. There is a washer dryer which came in very handy, I even managed to "steal" one of the guys tshirts. Looks good on me! :-) Oh and there is no elevator, this is a very old (and cool) building so if you've got an issue with stairs Mark probably manages another apartment suited for you. Mark was super professional, answered any questions we had and was awesome to work with. Thanks Mark!

                          Gorgeous Gothic Quarter Apartment!

                          5 of 5
This gorgeous air-conditioned apartment is so historic, and so well situated in the magic Gothic quarter of Barcelona! You can walk anywhere from here, and come back to this magic Born accomodation. We were a family of 7, and were SO comfortable. The noise does not travel among rooms; early and late risers were all happy. It is actually higher than the third floor, as the "ground floor' is floor zero in Europe. As we were all fit and OK with stairs this was not a problem at all, but something to be aware of with babies or elderly travelers. Thank you Mark; we loved our stay!

                          Great location, easy communication

                          5 of 5
We rented this flat for two adults and two kids (under 10) for 3 nights. We had clear communication with the owner, easy check in/out, and the flat was exactly as pictured and nice and clean. It felt chic, yet comfortable, without having to walk on eggshells worrying about what the kids might get into. It had everything we needed and more; there were even beach umbrellas in the closet. No surprises - except for how convenient it really was to everything. Walking distance to many restaurants, bakeries, grocer, the train, metro stations, the parc, museums, cathedrals, everything! We walked most places, using the metro a few times (like to La Sagrada Familia), and used the taxi only to and from the airport. We were worried about catching a taxi at 7am to leave, but it was very easy just by walking towards the train station. The stairs are manageable with children and luggage (trust me, I had a BIG suitcase). I would recommend this flat without hesitation to friends and family visiting Barcelona. We were all sad to leave.
