Extremely pleased with our stay. The apartment has an authentic, medieval feel and is located near the river just below the Alhambra. A square-spiral staircase leads from the entryway at the bottom, past bedrooms and bath at various levels up to a dining/family room. A balcony there provides a great view up the valley. A small staircase leads on to a well appointed kitchen. Beyond that, another small set of stairs leads to the roof, from which you have perfect view of the Alhambra. The layout of the property is really cool: a vertical apartment of five small levels. Very cozy and pleasant.
Nadia, our host, was most gracious. We met her at a cafe which was fairly close to the apartment. If you are arriving by car, like us, do not attempt to drive to the apartment! (or cafe meeting spot) There is no parking nearby and a wrong turn can send you on a near-infinite tour of medieval Granada!. Park in the nearest garage and walk! (This may be obvious to many, but hey we're Americans).
The apartment is minutes from the main square, 15-20 minutes to the Alhambra, and a good starting point for exploring old Granada in any direction (all times for walking). Nadia took the time to orient us and point out places of interest and practical amenities. We ran into her many times as she and her family frequent the area.
