We totally enjoyed our stay at Sants Estacio Attic apartment. The apartment is large and had plenty of room for our group. There are two big bedrooms with large double beds, one with a full bathroom (with shower) and doors to the balcony. The other double room has a bathroom with toilet and sink (no shower or bath) right outside of the room. There are two small twin rooms, each with two twin beds, and a full bathroom in the hall outside of these two rooms. Beds were very comfortable and showers were excellent. The kitchen was well-equipped, however the pans need to be replaced as the "Teflon" coating was coming off in all of the pans. Also, the apartment could use a few large water glasses in addition to the many wine glasses provided. The kitchen has every appliance that you could want- oven, stove, microwave, blender, toaster, and large refrigerator. There is a grocery store directly across the street as well as many restaurants and Tapas bars in the area. The large balcony was fantastic with lots of room to sit around and relax after a day of sightseeing. There is a large living room/dining room with a huge television and "surround sound" system. The building is on a busy street and there was a little street noise (i.e. sirens). However, it wasn't a problem. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom above the street and we travel with a sound machine, both of which blocked the noise from outside. The other bedrooms are in the back of the building and have no outside noise. These bedrooms also have wall air conditioning units. I think that the bedroom above the street and the living room have central air conditioning, but we didn't need the air conditioning in November. The washer and dryer were great. There is an elevator for up to three people. It broke on the first day that we were there and we had to walk up eight flights of stairs when we returned from a day of touring the city. Fortunately, it was fixed the next day. We were told that this never happens and it didn't happen again during our stay. We are all older adults, but were able to make the climb. However, this would have been a major problem for anyone with mobility problems. Sants station is a five minute walk from the apartment, making it very easy to get anywhere in the city quickly and easily. We absolutely loved this apartment and would highly recommend it to families and large groups. We will stay here again if we return to Barcelona.
