              Beautiful location

              5 of 5
My wife and I stayed at Mr. Rojo’s home for a week in February. Our daughter was attending The Universidad de Oviedo for a semester and we traveled to Spain to see her. We were looking for a place near Oviedo but out of the city. This home was perfect! Julio and Carmen made us feel very comfortable traveling to Spain even though we do not know Spanish. They provided a lot of information and recommendations for shopping, eating and activities. Julio and Carmen were always available to answer questions and provide recommendations. As we flew into Asturias, we were amazed at the beauty of the coast line. When we arrived at the home we could not believe how amazing the location was. From the living room we would watch huge waves roll in and crash onto the rocky coast. We also enjoyed watching the ships arriving and leaving the port in Aviles. Almost every day we would hike from the house the coast, along the high cliffs and down to the beaches. From the home we were a 30 minute drive from visiting our daughter in Oviedo where we spent time touring the old city. We also took a short day trip to hike in Picos de Europa starting in Poncebos. It is impossible to describe how incredible this hike was. We were very close to Piedras Blancas and Salinas where we frequented the cafes and restaurants that Julio had recommended. We also enjoyed multiple trips to the Philippe Cousteau Anchor Museum (a very short drive) where we watched the waves crashing on the rocks and surfers riding waves in to the beach. As we left the home at the end of our vacation, we could not believe how fortunate we were to have stayed at Mr. Rojo’s home. We would highly recommend a vacation at this home. Phil & Tricia
