                  A Paradisiacal Refuge

                  5 of 5
Make your reservation, pack your bags and leave your cares behind for this breathtaking refuge. A week won`t be enough to enjoy the spectacular setting of this location and the exceptional service you will receive from your unfailing and exceptional host Wolfgang. Our initial plans included daily outings to the nearby villages, towns and cities. You could do the same but, don`t be surprised if you are lulled by the magic of this awe-inspiring place into doing nothing at all but gaze at the views and sunsets. There really aren't enough superlatives to describe the beauty to be found here, it is a gorgeous setting and the design of the property itself is amazing, a real labour of love. Everything is as described and pictured. Our unit, Studio 1, was very comfortable, well equipped, clean and well maintained. It has a nicely outfitted kitchen (especially loved having sharp knives), a comfortable dining area overlooking the gardens, a large walk-through shower, a generous sized bedroom (and comfy bed) with ample storage and an expansive outdoor area that includes both shaded and full sun options. The magnificent views present themselves from every corner. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, a couple within walking distance and beaches within easy reach as well. Wolfgang`s recommendations are spot on and he has a treasure trove of useful and well-informed suggestions on practical matters, day/evening excursions and how to make the most of your holiday. We chose to spend most of our early mornings sipping coffee and watching the local fishermen heading out across the sea in search of their daily catch or spying on the divers just below us on their aquatic adventures. We did take a few very enjoyable jaunts to some of the lovely local towns and villages that dot the coastline and mountains inland. Siestas are recommended by Wolfgang (smart man) and we happily indulged ourselves in this local custom, usually after a refreshing swim in the pool. Our siestas were often followed by a glass of ice-cold Cava and some tasty and freshly prepared tapas pulled together from our daily market finds. You won't be disappointed, you'll have everything you need and more and Wolfgang will be there to assist you with a ready solution to any problem you may encounter. Your only challenge will be in deciding on whether or not you want to leave this perfect bliss and go elsewhere for a few hours. Thank you Wolfgang; we'll be back for another sunset or two....

A gem in the Olive Groves

                  5 of 5
We visited this property because we wanted a convenient location in Andalusia between Cordoba and Granada. Three nights was all we had allocated for this particular rental. I have regretted that decision ever since. I wish now we had stayed much longer! Our two bedroom apartment was comfortable and appropriately equipped, and the view from our private terrace of the olive groves and castle of Luque was beautiful. The grounds of the Casa Rural were immaculately groomed, with rustic artful touches everywhere. The gorgeous pool was inviting. But best of all, was the extraordinary warm hospitality we received from Balbino and Carmen, who made our stay special. From the moment we arrived our hosts made us feel welcome - Balbino presented us with fresh veggies from his poolside garden and olive oil from his grove of trees, Carmen prepared a special romantic dinner for us under the stars on our last night - we left the next day feeling as though we were saying goodbye to old friends. Five stars are not enough to express our enthusiasm for this particular Homeaway. A visit to this property is worth far more than a place to sleep - make sure you allow enough time to truly enjoy the special environment these two have created in the middle of the olive groves of Andalusia.
