Recent South Dakota Reviews

Spacious and family friendly

5 of 5
Our family of 12 takes an annual vacation to a different location each year typically in Southern/Central Minnesota. This year we ventured to Sioux Falls for 3 nights of relaxing. Took in the Midco aquatic center, Brookings Children's Museum and used the spacious house for movie and game time together. The house accommodated the size of our group well (6 adults and 6 littles under 9 years old). The decor. was tasteful and wasn't concerning with young kids that things would get broken. There were plenty of dishes (even plastic for kids), towels, pillows and most things you can think of for a group our size. Andy has a gracious host, quickly responding to questions before, during and after the trip! I appreciated another reviewer's comment about the house being "lived in" so we were aware before our stay that some of his personal things would be present, but it wasn't a big deal.

Lovely cozy stay in the beautiful Black Hills

5 of 5
We had a wonderful time visiting gorgeous South Dakota and the Lost Bison Cabin was a wonderful home base in the Black Hills. We felt close to the major sites but off the beaten path. The cabin is close enough to Custer to easily go out for a meal but still secluded and peaceful. When we arrived the owner stopped by to make sure we were settled and was very nice and friendly. The cabin was beautiful inside and out and we felt very comfortable there. Everything was clean and the bed was comfy. The best part about our stay was the stunning scenery. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch or out in the yard watching birds, squirrels, turkey and deer roaming around. We didn't end up having time to cook, but the kitchen seemed well appointed. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Lost Bison Cabin and wish we had more time to stay longer.
