Lovely cozy stay in the beautiful Black Hills

                5 of 5
We had a wonderful time visiting gorgeous South Dakota and the Lost Bison Cabin was a wonderful home base in the Black Hills. We felt close to the major sites but off the beaten path. The cabin is close enough to Custer to easily go out for a meal but still secluded and peaceful. When we arrived the owner stopped by to make sure we were settled and was very nice and friendly. The cabin was beautiful inside and out and we felt very comfortable there. Everything was clean and the bed was comfy. The best part about our stay was the stunning scenery. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch or out in the yard watching birds, squirrels, turkey and deer roaming around. We didn't end up having time to cook, but the kitchen seemed well appointed. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Lost Bison Cabin and wish we had more time to stay longer.

                Peaceful and roomy!

This cabin is beautiful and was perfect for our group of 10 motorcyclists! We arrived with 3 trucks, 2 trailers, 6 Harleys, and a 39' camper, and there was plenty of room to park everything. It was especially nice to have the large garage space for the bikes. Another bonus was the option of a covered or uncovered deck to enjoy, the better to watch all of the wildlife - turkeys, deer, giant jack rabbits (I kid you not)! Note: smaller truck/trailer combos can pull in and turn at the top of the drive. A larger set-up needs to back down a pretty steep and narrow drive. The indoor space was lovely and roomy, with plenty of amenities. The kitchen is well-stocked with plenty of dishware, pots/pans, towels, and spices. The bathrooms are large, and all of the beds were very comfortable. It's just a great use of space, and no one felt crowded. The location is well situated for plenty of riding or driving to take in all that the area has to offer - Sturgis, Deadwood, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer SP, Devil's Tower, Badlands NP, Bear Butte, Hill City, skiing, hiking, etc. Thanks to Brian and family - we hope to stay here again!

                Summer family trip

                4 of 5
We enjoyed a great family vacation. The furniture was very comfortable. We would recommend an ironing board & iron, dresser in the lower level bedroom, hangers in the loft bedroom, but none of these kept us from enjoying an amazing week!! Overall, it's a gorgeous cabin and we thank you for allowing us to enjoy it.
